The sandlot was a vacant lot we especially used for unorganized sports. It was a place during my childhood years where I could go and not have a worry on my mind, except being with my best friends and playing some baseball. The lot was a place where the memories of endless fun and games took place. I can still hear the voices of neighbors yelling at us to go home because of the tennis balls we hit against their houses and off their windows. To us the sandlot was better than Wrigley Field, nothing else could compare to all the times we had there.
After the show was over we spent sometime outside the Griffith Observatory and take more pictures. After we finished taking pictures, we went back inside and then we went through a hallway which was filled with jewelry of the sun, moon and stars. We also went to the gift shop and Alex bought some cute twin star earnings. After that we decided to leave and grab some food.
We went downstairs and we found the swimming pool, we went swimming and then we went to bed. The next morning we got up and packed and we were back on the road. It was kind of fun because we had to cross the border into Canada. We had to show them our passports and our birth certificates to get across.
I grew up knowing the value of a hard earned dollar. This past summer, I got to experience this personally. I received my first job, at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park. The process went smoothly; I handed in my application, and an assistant manager said there was a group interview the next day. During the interview with 14 others, I acted professional and myself. At Sky Zone, big personalities are required, and I thought I was a good fit. Days later, the general manager of the Syracuse location called and offered me a job. I was excited and ready to start another chapter of my life.
On the Saturday of the 10th our dad woke Ethan, Owen and I up really early. We made sure everything was packed and we drove to our grandma’s house. My dad opened up his car door and the cold air flooded through. Ethan got out of the passenger seat and joined Owen and I in the back. Our grandpa sat in passenger while our dad drove. Owen and our grandma sat in the way back while Ethan and I sat behind our dad and grandpa. We got there a little bit before Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Aunt Janette, and Uncle Steve. When they got there we did all of the boring security stuff and were on our way to Atlanta, Georgia.
As president I would have sent in more planes for bigger destruction. One reason is because the planes only killed seven people. Also, I would have sent in not just the Cuban exiles but lots of my own troops too. I would have sent in a few battle ships to attack the troops on the shore. But castro also gave us a warning by saying he was going to send all troops too. I would have bombed them with our atomic bombs. In conclusion I would have sent in double the amount that Kennedy did.
When I was younger, I took a field trip to Claytor Lake State Park with my English class. That morning I was so excited to get some fresh air at a park I had never been to before. After the long bus ride over there, we got in groups and started to learn different things about the park. We went to many stations that day but my favorite station was the Surroundings Station. The Surroundings Station was a station where we listened and focused on what we could see or hear around us.
We got our room key and got to the room to get settled. We got our stuff up to the room, got in the showers, ate and got our costumes ready for the next day. We got in bed ate our snacks, played our phones and went sleep.
Astronomy for me is like a drug. An addiction that after you start, will never be cured, or in my case, never become futile. This addiction was caused by something seemingly silly: a telescope. When some people get addicted to games on their phone or to buying cars, their phone or car become the most important physical item they own. Since I would consider my addiction astronomy, my telescope is my vehicle of addiction and also the most important item I have ever bought.
I booked an exceptional vacation rental in London that exceeded my exectations, and all of my thanks goes to WorldScape.com.
My dad and sister watched television, my mom crocheted, and I worked on my Kinderbuch for German class. As usual, everyone but me fell asleep. At 10:30, we packed all of our things into the back of the Tahoe and pulled around to he front to return the keys.
A change of scenery helps to sort things out. Portland, a green city and much more laid back than the San Francisco Bay Area was just what I needed. It gave me the space to ponder and to think more like an artist and less like an art historian. Even as I seriously tried to develop projects, write grants, and act as though I was still into it, the art history part, I wasn't and as it turned out, I wasn’t successful doing anything in Portland but gardening and raising chickens, signs that I needed a change.
After that we went to the church on Cobweb Drive, that Mrs. Cardwell invited us to. We ate chilli, fruit, hot dogs, burgers, and chips. Zequoia, Tamiya, Thomas and I played games and did activities at the church. We picked partners to this racing activity with. I picked my cousin Lauren to be my partner.
Once upon a time, I saw the world like I thought everyone should see it, the way I thought the world should be. I saw a place where there were endless trials, where you could try again and again, to do the things that you really meant to do. But it was Jeffy that changed all of that for me. If you break a pencil in half, no matter how much tape you try to put on it, it'll never be the same pencil again. Second chances were always second chances. No matter what you did the next time, the first time would always be there, and you could never erase that. There were so many pencils that I never meant to break, so many things I wish I had never said, wish I had never done. Most of them were small, little things, things that you could try to glue back together, and that would be good enough. Some of them were different though, when you broke the pencil, the lead inside it fell out, and broke too, so that no matter which way you tried to arrange it, they would never fit together and become whole again. Jeff would have thought so too. For he was the one that made me see what the world really was. He made the world into a fairy tale, but only where your happy endings were what you had to make, what you had to become to write the words, happily ever after. But ever since I was three, I remember wishing I knew what the real story was.
