As a young boy I had many dreams I wanted to live like being racecar driver, a doctor and a rockstar. I had a vast imagination. When I was bored I use to think of those things and how I would look like if I was a racecar driver, a doctor or a rockstar. My mom would always watch me play pretend. I would pretend to be a race car driver making car noises and pretending to steer, playing doctor with friends and also playing air guitar while singing. When I was younger I used to watch racing on tv like Nascar or Formula One racing with my dad. Watching race cars zoom down the circuits got me into the passion of liking cool and fast automobiles. My dad told me about the first time I watched a car race on tv when I was five years old. We went to a mechanic to change the oil in our car. In the place where you sit down to wait for your car there was a …show more content…
This started off with my best friend Noah. I would go to his house or he would come to mine very often. We watched a lot of tv shows and movies. I remember a movie we watched called The School of Rock. This movie is all about being a rockstar and it had my favorite actor in it, Jack Black. The whole entire time the movie was playing I was on my feet rocking and screaming also singing and so was Noah. Ever since that movie I was thrilled with singing and writing lyrics for fun. I always sang and acted like I was a rockstar. We would run and slide on our knees like a rockstar. A couple months later we watched another movie called Camp Rock it had three great actors the in it Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. It played on Disney Channel when it came out in 2008. The movie takes place at a camp in the forest. In the movie it shows the Jonas Brothers competing for the number one spot against all the bands. I remember when I saw all the actors in the movie writing their songs and playing them for their gig. It really put a spark in me to want to be a rockstar or
The racecar was not the most creative or what some would call beautifully designed. But the owner and his father worked for weeks on that little wooden block to turn it into something the ten-year-old boy could be proud to race. A previous race showed what needed to be done for a car to make it in the top five. After careful designing, sanding, painting, and graphite the car was finished.
Often I would fall into a dream, hoping on day they would come true. I always worried that when I went on vacation I would find the girl of my dreams. I always dreamt that I would find he blond haired green eyed girl that would be everything I ever wanted. “Signori e Signore our flight is just about complete please wait until the plane makes a complete stop then exist at the designated areas. Thank you for choosing A’litalia and have a great day.”
I hopped in the driver’s seat of my husband big truck and begin to get very anxious. My mind went blank. I all of a sudden forgot which pedal was to brake and which one was for the gas. I had to pull myself together because I was determined to learn how to drive. I put the car into drive and both my hands on the steering wheel. Before I can do anything my husband yelled “Stop, and put your seat belt on!” I started laughing and buckled my seat belt. I put the car into drive, put my foot on the gas, and the truck jerked and sped off. I panicked and put my foot on the brake pedal and the trucked jerked and stopped. I jumped out the car. I no longer wanted to drive. My husband calmed me down and told me it was ok and try again. I got back in the car and said a quick prayer. “Lord please give me the strength and courage to learn how to drive this truck!” I put the car in drive and the car began to move. I felt the I was swerving in and out of the lane and that’s when my husband said that I needed to keep the wheel straight until I’m about to turn. After about ten times of driving straight and turning I started to get the hang of it. I was excited! I was actually driving!
I believe in dreaming big like various people before have. Many famous people believed in dreaming big and reaching for your goals, no matter what the world throws at you. This is one of the reasons many famous people have excelled and reach heights not many people can reach. For realistic people underestimate their ability and strive to get to one place and that place only, like Albert Einstein quote “ logic will take you from A to B but Imagination will take you everywhere” . One famous celebrity that had passed away recently, but is an example of always dreaming big is Gene Wilder, the actor who played Willy Wonka. Throughout Gene Wilder's life and career he has gone through turmoil such as when he was attending school, Gene Wilder was bullied
Growing up as a kid having a whole hot wheels car collection that filled up a whole milk carton crate I would have expected to fulfill my dream of being a nascar driver. Well a kid can dream, but as I got older that dream seemed pretty far fetched due to my interests progressing towards computers and my truck getting horrible gas mileage so going fast isnt an option.
When a child is little, they have a depiction in their mind of what they want to be or do when they grow up. Typically, of being a firefighter, doctor, policeman/policewoman, or like me, dreaming of becoming, a Veterinarian. They may also dream that one day they are going to do have great ideas and make a difference in that job. But sometimes as the years go by they soon grow up, go on new expenditures and discover themselves and other interests. They leave all the dreams they had as a child behind.
My mother always told me to watch who you sleep with i used to just laugh at her and take it as a joke until i got older and truly realized what she was trying to say. My mom and my dad both had a trait of sickle cell so in result i was produced with the full disease. However even when i was younger always known what i wanted out of life. I had the big dream of becoming a doctor ever since I was little. Its probably because i spent most of my young life in hospitals although some might hate being in them i enjoy it. I was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia since birth so i've really adapted and grown up with it. I did have one other dream when i was younger though, i wanted to be a professional football player that was my dream for a long time until one day , i had to go to the doctor, and they told me that I could not play anymore
My dad always told me as a child that driving would one day be a privilege to me, not a right. That safety and sharing the road were the most important things about getting behind a steering wheel of a car. Of course, these grand words of advice were not taken seriously and all I could think about when fantasizing myself driving on the roads, was how fast I could go and how cool of a car I would be driving. Looking back, I probably should have taken these fatherly tips more seriously. I’m not saying when I did eventually get my license, that I was an unsafe driver; I just definitely took things for granted quite a bit.
My first car, according to my friends and anyone who laid eyes on it, was a shoe box. Goldie, better known as a Toyota Echo, was the perfect a-to-b car. It didn’t require many repairs, was a manual, and even made a twelve-hour road trip to Florida and back, much to everyone’s surprise. The bittersweet day came when I had to sell it before I was shipped off to basic military training. From then on out, I fantasized about my new car that would have a manual transmission, more than two doors, easy on gas, and a way to play my music that didn’t require some tape or radio medium.
I always hear those old sayings. In the course of one day I can hear them about everything from retraining old dogs to getting up early. I think they make sense and I even ponder on some of them, but I never really thought one might mean as much to me, or become as realistic as it has become in my life. The clichés about telling those you love, how you feel, before it is too late and the ones about living every day like it is your last have an all new meaning to me.
I was fifteen years young-itching to get behind the wheel of my first vehicle. A young man’s dream is to turn sixteen and finally get the privilege of driving; the freedom involved in this privilege is just a thrill to teenagers in general. I, myself, have always wanted a car that was unlike any other car; I wanted a car that was fast, stylish, and purred like a kitten. White has always been my favorite color in a vehicle, so I kept my eyes open for a white car to call mine. Little did I realize, my brother had a white car that matched up to my expectations.
When i was 6 i was introduced to RC cars by my dad, when I first started i went and raced at an indoor giant dirt track in Tuscon Arizona. Races were my favorite thing to do , the dirt tracks had a lot of ramps, berms and all kinds of stuff you could race around on. To see the whole track while you're racing there was this 15ft tall bench that you would stand on and had to climb a whole staircase just to get to the top. There were work tables that you could work on at the RC shop incase your car had any problems. The best part about racing was that i was really
My first day of driving class, horrifically, was composed of too little practice and too much time spent on 45 mph roads. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I nearly crashed into another car. After being directed to back out of a parking space, I hesitated from the fear of hitting an unforeseen car. Ironically, the extra time spent hesitating caused a car that only a few seconds before had been a comfortable distance away to speed narrowly past me in a black blur. As the instructor chewed me out, I couldn’t help but think: Isn’t it a good thing to double check?
My grandmother’s dream was to be a pharmacist. Unfortunately, she faced life circumstances that made it impossible, but every day of my early years she would live her dream, as we played to be pharmacists. I don’t recall most of this because I was very little. According to my mother, I would say I was a doctor, and my grandmother even made me a white coat from one of her blouses, which I do remember. I am uncertain if I should call it life or destiny, but from that moment on, I knew that someday I would become a
It all started when I was 6 years and my dad gifted me a remote control toy car for my birthday. I loved the car so much and I was very keen in knowing how it works and how it moves. I had it with me for a long time but then it was time for me to know how it works so I had to open it up and as I opened it, I found how a small motor was powering the entire car and how its energy is used to move it. It was then I fell in love with automobiles and my love for cars has always been the same.
