In 2014, at 6:20 in the morning my family and I were getting ready to ride to Atlanta to the airport. We were on our way to Las Vegas, Nevada. Everyone was happy and ready to leave Phenix City. The flight was about 5 hours. Everyone got their tickets and were ready to board the plane. Everybody got on the plane and fell into a deep sleep. About 4 hours later, the flight attendants came around with the snacks. When we arrived in Las Vegas everybody was hungry and ready to grub at an expensive restaurant. Omg!! How can you go to an expensive restaurant and the food looks good and smells good but it’s horrific. No one was expecting that.
Afterwhile, my family was still nibbling on the nasty food while I am on my phone minding my business. The only thing that was good to me was the sweet tea and the desserts. I was mad because even the chicken was bland and i’m like how can u mess up fried chicken it’s not hard. It took time to get a seat. It was dark and everyone was ready to go to their hotel room. My siblings, grandmother and I stayed in an hotel called “Circus Circus”. My parents were down the street in another hotel called the “ Bellagio”.

We struggled getting up to our room. We reached our destination and looked around and so happened my grandmother opened the blinds and we saw a brick wall. Who wants to have a view of an brick wall. My grandma called and complained about looking at a brick wall. The manager placed us in another room and the view was better. We were able to see the whole strip it was so beautiful. There were lights shining everywhere. I watched the water show which was
After taking in the view of the whole city of Manitou Springs we hopped on our bikes to resume riding down the mountain. Not long after we resumed riding, we actually had to go up a hill. This hill was unbelievably steep. It was a struggle to pedal even while standing up, but I finally made it up the hill. The rest of the ride was much easier. When the group finished the ride down the mountain, the tour company took us to an extremely disgusting Greek restaurant. The food tasted absolutely repugnant, but I ate it since the hunger inside of me was so great after the bike ride.
As my family piled into our car for our four-hour drive, I sincerely hoped my brothers wouldn’t ruin the best chance that we’ve had in a long time. They were already arguing about who got what video game, and were not making my mom and dad feel any better about going. We were going to Illinois, to Chicago, to be even more specific. Chicago was the city I’d been dreaming about visiting for a long time. (Well, that and New York.) I could not believe that my parents were getting out of their comfort zone and taking us to a big city.
Have you ever been to Texas? I have been once. My trip to Texas was unbelievably awesome. I saw many of things on my way there. While we were there, I had loads of fun. Many things happened while we were there. Texas was the coolest place I have ever been.
It was a warm April day and all of the students were let out of school for the day. I went home to finish packing with the help of my parents making sure that I had everything and I wasn 't forgetting. I was excited for a week now to go on the trip to Washington D.C. with the whole 8th grade class for a week.
Detroit, Michigan is my hometown and I lived there for eleven years. My parents wanted to get out of the moody and violent environment, because they grew up in Detroit as well. In 2008 half of my family moved to Covington, Georgia. My new life was different, because not only did I have to adapt but I had to look towards the future. In this new environment I had to make new friends and get out of my comfort zone. Honestly moving to Georgia was one of the biggest jumps in my life, because I was in a whole new city and it was really a fresh start. So I had to look out for myself and make sure that I made better decisions than before.
As the steps echoed off the metal walls in the brightly lit cabin of the airplane, the curiosity of a six year old was peeked. After a long 5,428 km journey across the North Atlantic Ocean from Cape Verde to Boston, Massachusetts, the plane had finally landed and the passengers were heading out towards their new destination, and I was one of them. Unbeknownst to me, however, my very first step on American soil was the start of an unyielding battle against the odds. My first steps off the plane had made my family and I immigrants, and

How could they try and profit off the destruction of the experience? To be honest, I wasn’t mad, I was just consumed with disgust at what they were trying to accomplish. Moreover, the price of food was highly unrealistic. I personally could think of an infinite amount of things I would prefer to pay for instead of a $15 chicken with the consistency of an indigestible chalk slate and unwanted addition fries which resemble stale twigs. Despite having the ability to pay, I was unwilling to do so, since it was like having the option of getting mugged.
The hotel was old and it looked abandoned the walls were falling apart and the ceiling was leaking, It did not look like the best hotel to stay in, but the rooms were so big, the rooms looked like small little houses, squished
The place where I would like to call me second home is located all the way down in Savanna Georgia. I can remember way back about nine years ago in the summer of 2008. The plane ride was a long and hot, and I spent the whole ride playing on my PSP. When I got off the plane I remembered walking through the freezing cold Savanna International Airport seeing all the flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling, but then taking one step out of the airport front doors looking for the car services that was rented and feeling the crushing 100°F heat and deathly humidity. But it is all worth the painful heat to spend time in the beautiful city.
The first night we were there, we got lost looking for the bed and breakfast we were staying at that night. We kept driving by it, but we couldn’t find a way to get to it so we kept driving right by it and then get lost looking for it again. After forty five minutes of looking for the bed and breakfast we finally found it. We were finally able to take showers and then we went out to dinner, we found this cute little pizza place where ...
It was a day of eager anticipation. It was a day of last-minute planning. It was the day before my fourteenth birthday. I had been looking forward to the party for at least two months. Everything was accounted for: balloons, Super Soakers, and music. There would be a barbeque of magnificent proportions. Miraculously, everyone had read the RSVP deadline and called in a week ahead of schedule. An enormous ice cream cake was to be delivered with eight large pepperoni pizzas. Needless to say, I was excited. It was to be my first party at our new house. I helped cook the enormous array of snack foods. I eventually surrendered to the temptation and stole a few strips of marinated steak when my mom wasn't looking. I had gone to bed that night with dreams of family, friends, and possibly a new stereo system.
It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. As we walk into our hotel, it was like walking into an expensive apartment. With its very own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a patio to top it all
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
As I finished eating, I heard the horn of my uncle’s car outside of my house, they seemed happy and ready to go. We all left at the same time, heading to my grandparent’s ranch. Once we get there, my cousins and I rushed to my grandfather’s fruit trees. He had apple trees, orange trees, lime trees, among others delicious fruits. As the time passed, lunch time came and everybody was called to eat. One of my uncles knows how to cook, and since he was in charge of the meat, he knew what to do to make it better. I remember the taste of that meat, it was delicious and everyone love
