I was 7 years old the first time I knew I was going to be a football player. That’s when I started to have a passion for sports. But if you want to learn more about me and who I really am, you need to know three things about me: my passion for sports, the TV shows I watch and what I wear. To begin with, a big part of my life has been my passion for sports. I started playing sports when I was 7 years old. Another sport that I started to play was basketball and I’ve been playing that since I was 10. The last sport that I don’t really play but I have experience with is baseball. No matter what I will never lose my passion for sports. Secondly, if you want to be me you have to know what TV shows I watch. One of the shows that I watch is the NFL
Surprisingly enough, one will find the most passionate football players at the high school level. Most boys will start their football career as a young child in football programs such as Pop Warner to get a foothold and to get those involved in teamwork and friendships. These programs are usually the start to someone falling in love with the sport and making it a career choice eight years later. Football is one of America’s favorite sports. When fall season comes around, people across America are placing bets, finding out where that new sports bar is, and buying wide screen T.V’s to watch NFL on Sundays.
Nine years old I was a happy but good sandlot football player. I was either captain or first pick in every game I could remember. Those days were the best time of my life even the older kids picked me on their team before there on friends. At the time I thought it was just another sandlot game
Sports play a very important role in my life ever since I could walk. My interests in playing sports began at the age of three as my parents signed me up for soccer, flag football, basketball, and lacrosse. First grade started my competitive edge as I began to play for travel teams in various sport tournaments. This competitive edge transferred from the sports field to the classroom having teachers and coaches helping me be the best I can be. Sports have continually well-shaped and defined my character by teaching me how to accept a win from working hard, also how a loss is an opportunity to learn and fix mistakes.
Growing up, I have always had a passion for baseball. To me, it is much more than just a sport. There have been times when it has acted as an escape from many problems in my life, as I feel that when I am on the diamond, nothing can hurt me. I am aware that many people feel this way about the sport they love, but sadly their careers often come to an abrupt end due to injury. I have a personal connection to this experience. The summer before my fourth grade year I was attending a basketball camp at Davidson College, when in the final seconds of a scrimmage game, my ankle was kicked out from under me. I immediately fell to the ground in pain as my ankle rolled over on itself. Coaches aided me in limping off of the court and to the training room
At age four, I started my first sport, soccer. From the very first practice, I was simply hooked to the new responsibility to show up at practice every Tuesday and a game every Saturday for my new Blue Valley Recreation team. I had so much fun with my soon-to-be kindergarten classmates! As I grew, I joined more and more sports like softball and dance classes, and I would do anything to get outside and play some football or tag with my family. From the time I was four until now, my love for sports and exercise has only multiplied and multiplied. Apart from the love of playing, I feel I may have gained something more from playing sports all these years. Though I was not entirely certain as to what or why I benefited from playing sports so long, I knew I had some attributes that many other non-athletes did not.
During my four years of high school I believe that my involvement in sports has helped me become a better person in life. I participated in varsity basketball and Track & Field all four years and my experience in both sports has taught me life lessons that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
When I turned three, I started playing my favorite sport to this day, Soccer! I love soccer because it gives me this feeling of excitement and I just love winning with all of my friends on the field. I loved soccer and I looked forward to it every day. I met a lot of my friends in soccer and it is one of the reasons that I started to become an athletic person. Soccer is still my favorite sport and I love it. I am planning to still play soccer up to the varsity team.
Sweat, aching muscles, and green spread out before me. I’d been practicing, I went hard and did my best to improve in every possible aspect. I worked not only on my form, my precision, and my power, but also on my mind; my mental game. I had to tell myself I could do it, I had to be confident in myself, no reassurance from others. I was told I had no chance, how could I win. I was expected to lose, and I thought I would.
As the Nike football spun through the air on a breezy fall day, all I could hear was “catch it with your eyes”. At 3 years old I could not understand what my dad actually meant when he said that.
My dream ever since I can remember was to play baseball at the highest level possible, and play baseball for as long as my body lets me. My goal is to reach my maximum potential as a baseball player and a student at the same time. I make school just as important as I do baseball, because I have a good understanding of the importance of an education and know that your playing days don’t last forever. I believe this quality gives me an edge over other baseball players since this makes me more than just a one dimensional athlete.
Ever since I was a little boy, about eight years old or so, I had an extreme passion for the sport of basketball. On weekends, I would wake up in the morning, eat a bowl of frosted flakes or cheerios, put on basketball shorts and then go in my driveway to shoot around. I would be out there for hours just shooting around or playing with some random kids that I would occasionally see walking around my neighborhood. This was satisfaction to me, but even better was playing on multiple public teams and not just playing in my driveway every day. In elementary school, I played in a recreational league, just like almost every other kid who tries out basketball when they were younger. This was fun and all but it was nothing too serious. There were never any practices, it was just one or two unorganized games per week. I never took
The sports market has gone from something small you might see around the community back in the days; to something that has boomed into a major economical aspect of countries across the world. Tens of thousands of fans line the ticket booths and entrances to get in to see a game of action packed fun. From scoring goals and big hits in hockey, to 3 pointers and highlight reel dunks, there is a lot that the sports market offers from sport to sport. A career in the sports industry is something I have really considered doing. I love to play and watch sports.
Sports have been an integral part of my life for years. For as long as I can remember I have played a sport, be it baseball, volleyball, soccer, or any number of other sports I have dabbled in. I have never been the fastest, strongest, or most talented in any of them, but I have had a passion to play the game. I live for the rush of the wind in my face, or the stress of a close play. There are few things I have invested more of myself into than a game, even games I have not played in.
My Passion My Passion is football because it's fun when i hit other people on the other team. Its also my passion because it involves teamwork and having fun with all your teammates. I'm going to tell a story of how it became my passion overtime. There was only 2 weeks of summer left.
After school everyday for the last two years I’ve ridden the bus for half an hour just to arrive at rowing. Only to place yourself in an environment that is set up to be uncomfortable and painful each time you hop on an erg or go on the water. Before I joined the actual team I did a learn to row program. Since then I joined the novice team and am now rowing on varsity. I cannot place a pinpoint on which particular practice is my best experiences because I can never. Nevertheless, each day you put in the hours you learn something about personal growth, life, and others. Now how might a sport teach someone about life? Most people might talk about how football or basketball pushed them physically and they learned to bond with one another. Conversely,
