My First Time in Texas ¨Today we can go visit the Fort Worth Stockyards. We can have dinner and I also go shopping,¨ suggested Aunt Mary Beth. I am in Dallas,TX Score April vacation visiting my Aunt Mary Beth and Uncle Pete. ¨That sounds fun,¨ we agreed. We all got in the car and drove 20 minutes to the Stockyards. Once we arrived we start to make our dinner reservation at the Cattleman's Steakhouse. While we were waiting we went shopping in the store,Cowboy boots and hats . Decided on a brown hat with the ends dyed dark brown. The base had metal buttons. In the front there is a jewel decorated pin. My sister got a hot pink hat with copper star. Shopping for cowboy hats with so much fun. We went back to the red restaurant just in time for
El Paso, Texas is a relatively large city with a small town attitude. It is one of those cities that grows on you. I embrace the laid back lifestyle and bi-cultural environment - it’s given me an opportunity to develop a unique bicultural identity that influences my motivation to succeed. Especially, being the daughter of an immigrant that upholds Mexican culture. The majority of the population is hispanic, which gave me the sense of mexican traditions that I would share with my family in Mexico. Growing up bilingual ironically provided me comfort in the community. Also, the efforts of the community are being made to modernize and improve the city.
For years I’ve been planning a family vacation but had never decided a pleasant and fascinating place to visit. A lot of people relate the adventures in San Antonio for tourists. To mention a few, The Riverwalk, Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta, and The Tower of the Americas are the main attractions that would be perfect for a family trip. I was so enthusiastic and explored more into it. I gave my family the great news of going and exploring this amazing city on our own! San Antonio offers the best of attractions and activities in all Texas! Whether you’re looking for popular entertainment for the whole family or to spend time with your friends, I was so positive I had made a superb decision!
Every person has an American Dream they want to pursue, achieve and live. Many people write down goals for themselves in order to get to their dream. Those never ending goals can range from academic to personal. As of today, I am living my dream. My American Dream is to become a nurse, travel to many places, have a family, and get more involved with God.
“I don’t know, Charlie. Maybe we could go to the beach.” Answered Grandaddy in a joking
Here we are, packing in the nice, warm, mellow sun. The sweet-scented flowers of May are blooming. The huge amount of supplies goes into the back of our big, white van. Everyone’s face has a sincerely eager smile. I look at my mom’s smile, and I can swear that it’s as open as a crocodile’s. We’re taking a family trip down to Florida.
I walked out full of glee on my face to see a gourmet breakfast. Seeing dried fruits and vegetables come in season is my favorite. On the other hand, there was some news Susan might not be happy about. I asked Susan to come to the dining room. I told her that I was going to join the war.
My trip to the Witte Museum was amusing one, I got to learn the rich history and culture of Texas. I first gallery that I came across was the Dinosaur Gallery in the Naylor Family Part of the museum. There was a huge model displaying the different soil that was layered one after other, going back in history millions of years ago. There were other interactive dinosaur exhibit explaining how much a particular dinosaur weighed, what it ate etc. The next gallery I saw was the Texas Wild Gallery, displaying the wildlife in the forest of Texas with all the animals living.
Have you ever been to Texas? I have been once. My trip to Texas was unbelievably awesome. I saw many of things on my way there. While we were there, I had loads of fun. Many things happened while we were there. Texas was the coolest place I have ever been.
The Bell family was on their way to Yellowstone National park for a camping trip. They reached the park at 7 o'clock a.m . Nixon and Zander weren't tired at all, in fact, Nixon suggested to go to the park and they did. At the park they met some new friends and they loved jumping on the bouncy castle. They came across a sign that said don’t leave the campfire unattended. This gave them the great idea of making a campfire at night! so for now they played at the park with their new friends. (At the park). Nixon was having a fun time playing tag with their friends, but Zander wasn't because he wasn’t as athletic as Nixon was. The parents on the other hand were having some difficulties mom didn’t know
There are two main states that I would like to include on my map, California and Texas. These two places mean a lot to me in many ways. Texas is a place where I spend most my summers and other vacations at. I don't visit there regularly just because, I visit because I have most of my family from both my mom’s and dad's side. That is why I decided to put a quote about family instead of drawing out my whole family. Around it I drew a picture of the famous Texas star which lays on a mountain and looks really nice at night. In the top right corner I drew a picture of UTEP which stands for University of Texas in El Paso which is the university I wish to attend.
“Arkansas? You're really taking me to Arkansas for my thirteenth birthday?” I remembered asking that question just a few days ago, as I walked from the chilling cold air, into the warm and welcoming country hotel. My mom was dealing with the suitcases at the counter, so my little sister, my dad, and I went into the elevator and up to our floor without her. When my mom finally came up to our floor, the 3rd floor, there were several men in her elevator, all in suits.
It was about two years ago when I arrived in United States of America, and I still remember the day when I left my native country, Honduras. As I recall, one day previous to my departure, I visited my relatives who live in San Pedro Sula. They were all very happy for me to see me except my grandmother Isabel. She looked sad; even though she tried to smile at all times when I was talking to her, I knew that deep inside of her, her heart was broken because of my departure the next morning. I remember that I even told her, “Grandma, do not worry about me, I’ll be fine. I promise that I will write you letters and send you pictures as much as possible.” Here reply was, “I know sweetie I know you will.” Suddenly after she said that I started to cry. For som...
I said. “I was thinking about using this as a vacation house.” Daddy said. “Oh.” I said.
Paul had gone away for summer camp along with his sister together. This time of the year had always been odd for you. You had consumed so much of who you were into making my family happy. That was my only goal in my life; to make my family proud of me.
shirt. I decided to pair it all with my black boots and my sister would fix my hair for me.
