Imagine gazing at dozens of people riding a roller coaster, and debating whether or not you should take a ride. Imagine stepping into the line that leads to the first roller coaster you’ve ever ridden. Today was the day, that I would ride my first roller coaster. On a bright sunny day in June, I was at Adventureland with my aunt and uncle. The smells of sugar and dough filled my nose as we strolled past the food carts. I had been debating whether or not I wanted to ride the roller coaster all day, and I finally decided that today was the day I was going to ride my first roller coaster, The Tornado. As I joined the end of the line with my uncle and my cousins, Lexi and Lauren, I started to wonder if this was such an excellent idea after all. Shortly after we joined the line, Lexi decided that the roller coaster was too much for her, and she left the line. After a while, Lauren discovered that it was too much for her, and joined her sister back at the bottom. Now there were only two people left, my uncle and I. As we crept close and closer to the front of the line my hands started to sweat. I was as petrified as a …show more content…
“Are you scared?” my uncle asked me. “Nope” I replied, trying to sound as brave as I could, even though on the inside I was petrified. Finally it was our turn. As we climbed into the red colored, rusty old cart, I thought to myself, “There’s no turning back now.” The roller coaster rumbled to a start and we began chugging down the tracks. The rickety coaster climbed up the gigantic hill, and before I knew it we were at the top. Whoosh! We flew down the first hill and my stomach dropped. As we turned the corner gaining speed I threw my hands into the air. I was having the time of my life! We raced up another hill leading to little bunny hops, jerking us from side to side. After a copious amount of more drops and turns the coaster came to a stop at the
I love riding four wheelers. I also love to adventure so I guess you could say my character trait is being adventurous. I’ve been riding my whole life, you think I’m kidding but my mom even rode four wheelers when she was pregnant with me so yeah. I got my very first four wheeler when I was three and I rode it till I was nine, but then I wanted to ride with the big boys or girls or whatever. When I was ten I got Yamaha blaster two hundred. It was my first manual transmission four wheeler. It was also a fixer upper, so I restored it to original condition and learned valuable knowledge along the way. So now I know a lot about four wheelers. When I got done fixing it it was a lot better than before. So I figured I was ready to learn how ride a
The coaster then was clear for take off. The coaster made its way to the top of the first hill, and as the cart descended and turned the first corner, Rosa was thrown from the cart. Rosa dropped out of the cart onto a metal support beam more than 75 feet below the place where she was ejected and came to rest on top of the roof of a tunnel. When the famil...
Have you ever felt the rushing wind on your face while spiraling through the air? Well if so, then you have probably been on a roller coaster. This October was the first time that I have been on a roller coaster. Traveling with a group of friends, went to the Haunt Night at Worlds of Fun. It was quite an thrilling experience. There were zombies and goblins prowling around, waiting to give you a scare. When we were on our way I was nervous, but excited. As we all trudged up, Keeshawn, Paige, Makenna, Cooper, Katie, and I went to the first ride, The Patriot.
Roller coasters are one of the most popular rides when you go to an amusement park with everybody in your family. Why are they so scary for some people while for others it is just another adrenaline rush? Roller Coasters are one of the most complicated rides to build and to actually ride. There are some people who just have fun building something to have a quick adrenaline rush before going to work. Roller coasters have some of the most interesting design and history; they have become one of the world’s famous rides at every amusement park.
The next day we went to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. It was really hot that day, but it was still super fun. That was my first time going on a roller coaster. I was really scared, but my parents convinced me to go on one, and now I love roller coasters! We went on this ride that was supposed to be like flying through the sky around the world called Soarin’. It was a really cool experience. We also went on this ride called the Tower Of Terror. It was really fun.
Nevertheless, before I knew it, it was our turn to ride the Cork Screw. As soon as I entered onto the platform, I bolted towards the first car seat of the roller coaster. Following me slowl...

We walked down this winding path, with trees and bamboo all around us. It was like a never ending jungle. I whispered to Kayla, “ I am scared for the ride.”
As soon as the cart reached the top of the tracks I knew we were in for a long bumpy ride. The cart descended, I gritted my teeth and pushed my legs against the seat in front of me to brace myself. I'm screaming now, this is my first roller coaster, I do not know what to expect. All I could see was my life flashing in front of my eyes and the moment just before I decided to jump onto this roller coaster of death.
Waiting an eternity to ride, the anxiety builds with each step. As I approach the seat, my palms sweat, as I regret my decision every five minutes. As the rapid coaster rushes above, the cool air splashes me in the face. What a way to start the day at an amusement park! Adrenaline in my veins surging through.
S.H.I.E.L.D's Character Coaster It was my first day at Six Flags California. We were coming here for an end of the year school field trip. My best friend, Jackson, and I spent most of the day wondering around the park, playing games and riding smaller rides. You see, I had only been on a roller coaster once, and after that I vowed to never go on one again. The force at which the ride pushed on against my body caused me to accelerate at such a rate where I almost threw up.
We pulled into the roller coaster park in our Ford Excursion truck. It was me and my dearest friends. Our stomachs were growling like mountain lions. We haven’t had a chance to get something to eat during the trip. I opened the container of ham and cheese sandwiches and have had three sandwiches faster than a track star. My un-calm hands couldn’t even open a bottle of wild cherry soda. Thinking about what I’m going to do when we enter the park.
Glancing at the time on my phone once again, it dawned on me that I had been sitting near the line for the Ride of Steel for close to an hour. Even though I had been open about my fear of roller coasters, my friends still decided that a 208 foot tall ride was the place to start. I desperately wanted to make the most of this trip, but the second I heard its name mentioned, I knew that I was in for a long day. My entire life I have struggled with trying new things.
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
We heard, “keep your arms, hands, and legs in the roller coaster at all times.” “Get ready, get set, go.” We took off and we heard the roller coaster chug and chug and chug all the way up to the top. Once we hit the top I looked over at Taylor to see if she was okay and still alive. As soon as she looked over at me the roller coaster jet down the track, and my heart and stomach sank.
