There is nothing better than sitting on your front porch drinking warm apple cider while the wind whips at your cheeks, moments like this is why fall in my favorite season. I love watching the out the car window to see the brightly colored leaves gathered on the ground or the neighborhood kids sitting on their porch carving pumpkins. Fall leaves us with many activities to do in the chilly October air, like jump in piles of leaves or pick out pumpkins and the pumpkin patch. One of my favorite fall activities is picking apples. My family owns two apple trees that we pick every year. I always play a game with myself where I try to reach the highest apple on the trees. With our apples we usually make them into delicious treats or just eat them
plain. One time, my grandma made fresh apple cider that felt like a warm hug in my stomach. I also enjoy when my family goes Halloween costume shopping. Another one of my favorite fall activities is going Halloween Costume shopping. Each year our family tries to wear costumes that go together, but it never works out. Everytime we go to buy our costumes one of my brothers pout until they can be some character from Star Wars or another costume that has nothing to do with the original plan. Fall is a time where families can make memories together and follow traditions. The time I spend in the open air and with my family is why fall is my favorite season.
I had mixed feelings one time when my friend, Gracie’s, twin sister was depressed. Her name is Meghan and she is 15 years old. She was depressed because her mom, Cathy, and her step dad had just split up. Meghan and her step dad were really close, so their breakup was not that easy for her. She had attempted suicide a few times for this reason. I should have said something that could have prevented her from trying to attempt suicide again. I learned that a friend is worth more than a secret.
I had a great fun winter break I was a little boring but mostly fun. First, I spent time with my friends right after school. For example, I went to the park with my Katelyn, Sophia, Nathan, Ethan, Christian, Martine, And Rustie and played on the jungle gym. Then I went to my best friend Serena´s birthday party a couple days later. We played with balloons and ate a lot of cake and ice cream. We both got really bad stomach ache after eating all that cake and ice cream. Second, I spent time with my family and went to a lot of places. For instance, went to Big Bear and we played in the snow. We played in the snow for at least one or two hours. After we played in the snow we got hot chocolate and went home. Last, I did a lot of shopping and went
There is a lot of fun things to do in fall, the first thing to do is you could jump in the leaves because that is always fun. When you jump in leaves make sure that you always put a lot of leaves in the pile. Also another awesome thing to do in fall is you can decorate pumpkins by carving them. Carving pumpkins is so much fun, because you can customize it by putting silly or scary faces on it.The next thing that is really fun in fall is watching scary movies and shows. When I watch scary movies I scream so loud and I hide behind a pillow or a friend.
The number two reason I love West Virginia is the fun recreational activities it has to offer. In the spring I can go watch a baseball game, or take a relaxing walk through the beautifully flowered gardens. In the summer I may enjoy a soothing swim, or white water raft down the New River. Also in the fall I can walk through Grandview State Park and see the various colors of the leaves. After my walk I could stop by the theater and take in a production of Annie. These are just a few of the recreational activities that I enjoy every year in West Virginia.
Duck hunting is an absolute passion for me and nothing could possibly interrupt this annual event. For me, sitting out in a duck blind at 5:30 in the morning with the brisk cold air biting at my skin is something I look forward to each and every year. Even having to break through a layer of thin ice to make it out to my blind never gets old. The frigid cold on my hands can get unbearable at times, but the possibility of frostbite is never at the forefront of my thoughts. After all, when the ducks start to fly, nothing can force me off the lake.
Christmas, I love Christmas, I love shopping for presents for my loved ones, thinking about the gifts I want to give, the wrapping and arranging them under the beautiful Christmas tree. I love the planning and preparing Christmas dinner, filling the house with wonderful fragrant smells hoping everyone comes and has a good time and still talking to each other when they leave. Most of all though, I love the Christmas tree, I love the excitement as the hunt begins for the perfect tree finally when everyone is in agreement we bring it home hoping it’s not too tall too short too fat or too skinny and most important stands up straight. Somehow it always fits and always looks beautiful, I am never disappointed and my tree is always perfect and beautiful.
After I crossed the bridge, it dawned on me what had happened to the bridge. It just started to rust so it didn't happen too long ago. It was either the flood from 2006 or 2008 that completely twisted the metal bridge in to an almost unrecognizable heap. As I turned to continue my hike toward Maple Falls, I began to think, "What was I going to encounter later that day or any other day on the mountain that was effected by the floods?"
There are very few things in life I enjoy quite as much as fall. love that it is no longer a million degrees… but the thing that I love the absolute most on the stinkin’ planet is THE TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL.
I don't believe in magic like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. As a fourteen year old it would be a little weird, but the one thing I believe in that gives the holiday season that perfect little twinkle of magic is snow. Snow is like a blank canvas waiting to be imprinted with footprints and played in for hours and hours. Frolicking in the snow makes me feel like the center of the universe, the queen of the world. For this reason I always make time for playing in the snow. Since snow centers me and let's all my worries slip away, snow days are my favorite.
I remember collecting crab apples along the walk in order to line them up in the street for the bus to smush with a satisfying crunch. As fun as demolishing apples was, winter deemed the most exciting as it brought snow for us to build and play with.
My perfect fall day would take place on a cool, Saturday evening in October.I would wake up in the morning. Then i would eat some pancake and then i would take a shower, put on some clothes.I would talk to my mom,my grandmother, and my sister and we would laugh, talk.I would check social media and look at pictures and text my friends back.i would ask my mom ¨ Can i go outside¨ i asked, she would said ¨Have you finish your homework¨ she said, ¨yes, now can i go outside¨ i asked,¨yes, but ask your sister if she want to go outside too¨ she said,¨okay¨.Then i go outside and play with my friends,my friend would tell a joke ¨laughs¨.Then i would go back in the house and take a shower. Then i would check my social media, and do my streaks. Then when my sister
As a child, I can remember raking the leaves into a pile and jumping through them. My sisters and I also loved collecting pine cones from under the pine trees. After we gathered them we pretended we were building a fire. As we matured, we’ve all established our own lives. We still remain close, but the chill of fall takes me back to when going in separate directions didn’t even cross our
What I did this summer. There was a a lot of fun things this summer that i did and they were pretty fun so here is what I did during the summer the first thing i did in the summer was i got tickets from a orthodontist raffle to go to the railcats game which was pretty fun to go to and then we also got food there also. A little later my dad actually let me drive his car in the intermediate school parking lot and also for a while at the field of dreams parking lot and then we also got tickets from our orthodontist to go to the deep river waterpark and we also had our parents take us to our very first concert to see joan jett and boston and then we also got to go up and see family that i have not gone to see in awhile.
Apple picking is a personal favorite of mine. For my girlfriend and I, also other couples we met, we all agreed that it is a great way to enjoy a nice, well weathered day together. There are plenty of trees which produce shade and apples, me and my girlfriend wanted to stay there all day! The prices of the apples were not very costly either. They are $15 for a small bag and $25 for a large bag for normal apples, and $25 for...
There was always, a simple desired that made an ache of excitement flow through my body. The wait was fascinating, and it always felt like forever and a day before it would come true. This was a typical teenage dream, yet it was as important as the sun rising. Nothing would ever top this, once I had it, no one could ever take it away. Getting my driver’s license was only half the combat. The dream was to have to my very own car, I wanted it and I dreamed of it every day.
