Simone S. Coach Morrow 2016 The finger Thursday was a very important day for me! I was trying out for my 5th grade school play, Once on this Island, and I wanted the male lead role, Daniel. The auditions were after school and they were scheduled at a specific time, mine was 1 hour after school, 4:00. I was so excited! I really wanted that role. That day I was hanging out with my friend Nora. Nora helped me go through my lines and my short, short song. The reason I wanted Daniel is because I wanted a big part, but I can NOT sing so Daniel was just right for me! Anyway, I kept practicing my lines, Nora was reading off of the paper and I was saying them from memorization. My brother, Willy, had his best friend Wonka with him. Me and Nora practised and were ready for the addition. Nora came to support me and Wonka came because …show more content…
I was waiting for Friday to come because then I would find out what part I got! Friday slowly rolled around, but I still had a full day of school! Everyone was so jumpy and hyper! I was happy, but my finger really hurt! It was 2:59, 10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 5! 3! 2! 1! The bell rang and everybody sprinted home! Me and Willy got home in 5 minutes and checked the cast list email. We clicked on Willy’s cast list first. He put his finger on the screen and followed down to his name. Then he stopped on the other end of the name was, PAPA GE! The part he wanted! We were so excited and I was happy for him. Next was my turn, clearly Willy was excited for my part because the second I went to see my part Willy had already pulled up my cast list! I moved my non hurt finger and saw the part next to my name! I freaked out! I was yelling, I GOT THE PART, I GOT THE PART! IM DANIEL!!!!! Me and Willy were sooo sooo excited and overjoyed. My finger hurt, but I didn't care because I got the part I wanted for my school play! And still Ms. D-S still does not know she broke my finger. The
A bit later we get an idea of how successful Willy is. Willy tries to
Willy demonstrates his desperation for attention when he has his hallucinations of Uncle Ben. After Willy is fired by Howard, and he is still in awe, Ben appears. Willy then proceeds to talk to him: “Oh, Ben, how did you do it? What is the answer? […] Ben, I’ve got to talk to you” (84).
As soon as we had started acting I was given the role of a director. I
The moment I’ve been waiting for turned out more hectic than I was expecting. From waking up super early to forgetting what to do, the day had its up’s and down’s. So, what day am I talking about? Well about June 22, 2013, the day of my quinceanera, the day I went from a little girl to a woman.
When I went, I had gotten there just in time. There were three women there that had an extra ticket, and to top it off their tickets/seats were in the front row center. So I had a very good view. As I sat down, I noticed on the stage one of the actors. He was Jack for "Jack in the Bean Stalk." Jack is one of the teachers at Ursuline Academy, Dale Mason. He was not my teacher, but I did know him. I thought that that was pretty cool.

I was so excited! When dad told me that we were going to be moving at some point in time, I asked if we could wait until after the school musical. Unfortunately, this meant that we were living in a hotel room with Grammy for a couple months. On the weekends, we were living in her home. This sounds kind of like a lot for a just a fifth grader’s school play, but dad did not want to take that moment away from me. And honestly, living with my dad and grammy in a hotelroom was still a lot better than living with my mom; or even Selesa for that

Now in elementary school though I had my one and only lead as Swingle Cringle, but that was all the way back in the fifth grade. Which means I have gotten a little rusty over time and also means that I have one of the worst show resumes someone has ever seen. But that didn’t get me down. I still auditioned like everyone else but much to not only my surprise but also my moms surprise I was casted as Crony 1 for Beauty and The Beast but I was also casted as the only male lead dancer. This means that I got one whole line; “Crazy ol’ Maurice!” but it also means that I was good enough to be with the top dancers in the show. This really made me see that I am special and that I have some sort of talent. Yet it was something that I learned about within theater that truly helped me with my
We all followed Jennesse up the aisle and about 2/3 a way down the back wall to “home depot pretend area” which is the boys pretend section. The boy said “No” and starts walking back towards the girl area. The mother then said, “Todd, if we get this one, we can also get a new Sponge Bob.” Todd gleefully agrees, and the pair head off to go pick out his
Willy, to the boys: You see what I have been talking about? The greatest things can happen! (48; Act 1)
WILLY: [with pity and resolve.] I’ll see him in the morning; I’ll have a nice talk with him. I’ll get him a job selling. He could be big in no time. My God! (Act 1)
The Group we got into was a group of four and they were Marlon, Josh,
The day had finally come, the day Brooklynn, and I would meet our idol. Brooklynn’s parents picked me up around 12:00, and we were off! Our concert was at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. It started to seemed like it was taking so long to get there. Traffic was horrific, and it seemed like we were always making little pit stops. There was a car crash, so all off the traffic was backed up. We, our usual selves, became very antsy. We started to wave at every car that passed us. That’s when we met Julia. Julia looked like our age, and Brooklynn and I started talking to her out of the window. She also was going to the Justin Bieber concert. I sort of felt bad, because her seats were at the very top of the stadium. I’m sure it was hard for her too see.
It was like any normal day. My dad picked me up after work to take me to our new house that he was in the process of building. When we arrived I went to see if my friend next
