This year seems to be going by unbelievably fast. So many wonderful memories have been made. I will never forget the day Caroline, a family friend, got married. It was a beautiful spring day in the middle of May. Although the wedding did not start until the afternoon, the day was busy from start to finish. My family and I had assisted in some of the preparations. Therefore, we were running around most of the morning to make sure everything was how it needed to be. Then we needed to prepare ourselves. We got dressed, did our hair and makeup, and were ready to go. The wedding started at 1:00 P.M but, we arrived early. It was lovely being able to chat with some close friends beforehand. It was such a happy day. As you looked around you could see everyone's faces glow with excitement and joy. The groom, Kevin, looked even happier than anyone. After all it was his wedding day too. In a few moments the wedding began. Everyone scurried to their seats in anticipation. The music began, the doors opened, and there she was, gracefully gliding down the aisle behind her single bridesmaid. Her dress was simple, yet elegant. She radiated with beauty that brought tears to the crowd's eyes. You could almost hear the echo of the bride and groom's hearts pounding in synchronized beats. The ceremony was sentimental and …show more content…
They have a huge, beautiful yard. It was the perfect place for a wedding reception, and the couple did not have to pay because they and this family are good friends. They rented a large tent, meant for such occasions, as the place for the food and tables to be rather than being directly outside. They even built their own dance floor, which I assisted in doing. The party was a blast. There was good food, dancing, and many good friends. You could tell Kevin and Caroline were very pleased that everything worked out as they wanted it. They seemed to have the most fun out of everyone, which was a great
I have never felt more welcome and loved in my entire life, the energy in that room from all these people was incredible. This was the day I began my transition into adulthood, I made a commitment to this community, to God. I turned my life around, I started working harder in school, I matured, and had a positive outlook on my situation. Because of young life I learned
Before the actual wedding took place, several things had to happen. The bride had to get engaged. Engagement before the wedding was considered a good manner but wasn’t always required. The couple would then have to choose the date they would get married on. A lot of care went into choosing the date of the wedding because there were days that were considered both lucky and unlucky. When the wedding day came around many things took place. On the wedding day, the bride partook to many things, including the morning of preparation, which typically involved picking flowers for her hair and getting dressed.
saw her walk down the aisle. I was overwhelmed to say the least by how
I stood there – with the veil already in my hair. This man who was supposed to be the love of my life was telling me he was calling off the wedding less than an hour before we were due on the beach," she shared.
I woke up that morning, wondering why I had woken up so early. Then I remembered. My age group and I were graduating into knighthood today. I had woken up to get ready.
Good Evening! For those of you who don?t know me, I?m Charlotte, the very proud sister of our glamorous Bride. I want to start by congratulating Kari and Ernest, and thanking all of you for coming here today.
My grandmother and I began talking about the morning leading up to the event. She and her husband woke up at their normal time and went through their normal morning routines: fed the dogs, made coffee,
My dear Count, I write to you this day to inform you of what I have learned of your daughter’s soon to be husband, the Duke. Sir, how long have I been in your employ? over 20 years now? And in this time have I ever not been honest with you, or withheld any information from you? So this day as I tell you of what I have learned of the Duke I hope that you will take it into full consideration.
“Why did I let you talk me into this?” Lydia, your only friend in the kingdom, linked your arms together, “Don’t be such a pessimist. This could be the best night of your life.” You rolled your eyes, but allowed her to pull you into the ballroom. Royal families conversed while sending their children to dance with eligible princes and princesses.
The Queen wants to meet you,” she murmured into my ear. She steered me through the crowd and out a narrow side door into the hall, then into a jewel-like sitting room where the Queen reclined on a divan, a snuffling dog with a pushed-in face cradled on her lap. The Queen was beautiful, with glossy blond hair in a perfect coiffure, her delicate features cold and lovely. But there was also something a little odd about her face.
You made this day exactly what I had hoped it would of been. You told me you were excited to get married and I expressed the mutual feeling. One of my favorite moments that day was slipping into my beautiful dress, which I have had in the back of the closet for months. When I finished getting dressed I flung the door open and ran to see you. You were standing in the doorway of our suite, and you looked so handsome.
As I was leaning on the railing of the upstairs balcony of our house in Boston, I heard Mary, my maid, say, “Miss, your parents want you downstairs. They want you to change into your silk dress.” I sighed as we headed inside, thinking, “First, why do they want me downstairs? Also, why am I supposed to change?” Once Mary had helped me dress, I walked downstairs, where Mother, Father, and a young, handsome man dressed in a British uniform, sat in the living room.
My meet and greet was at 7. Rehearsed lines and made up scenarios filled up the car. The limo parked and I was escorted into the venue. My heart was fluttering and I was short of breath. The escort brought me into a tiny room filled with candy and child like scenery.
I opened my eyes at around 9:00 a.m.; I could not imagine that today was my graduation day. I was so excited to get ready for the day I had dreamt of for twelve years. I called my cousin Sandra to remind her to do my makeup because she is a makeup artist. I told her that I needed it to be flawless because I wanted this day to be complete in everyway. I took a shower to get ready for the hair salon because I was going to dye my hair red for the first time. I wanted a simple hairstyle; straight on top with curls at the bottom.
I finally had to eat something light before my stomach ate itself, although I don’t know that I was fully hungry, or if I was just nervous, either way I ate a chopped up apple and yogurt with granola being very careful to not ruin my makeup. After eating a light breakfast the moment I had dreamed of as a child came, putting on my wedding dress. I had been waiting for that moment for such a long time, theres something magical about trying on your wedding dress the day of the wedding, it makes everything feel complete and whole. When I looked in the mirror looking back at me was a beautiful young woman that was full of excitement and happiness that made me get emotional, I had to force back tears for I didn’t want to look like a clown with makeup running down my face. By that time my aunts and uncles showed up to celebrate with the bride and make a toast. The pink champagne was so satisfying when it went down my throat, it felt cool and light that I could’ve easily had another glass, but I wanted to pace myself I still had a long day ahead of me. The photographers wanted to do pre ceremony pictures outdoors which was awful due
