Personal Narrative: How Football Changed My Life

I grew up in a very small town in Mississippi, there weren't really any things to do around the town. We didn't even have a simple arcade you could go to and just have fun like most towns do, but as kids you are always going to find something to do to have a little fun. For me and the kids in my neighborhood, it started off with us playing football everyday and tag. Even hide and seek on some days. I enjoyed playing football but I always knew it just wasn't my sport or my talent that I would be best at. Not a single person in the neighborhood had a basketball hoop, but I would always love dribbling the basketball around the sidewalks. I tried playing other sports like baseball for example and found out I was allergic to grass and pollen and had really bad allergies, so that cut off my chances with football as well. My father ended up putting me in this little league. I played a few games with my age group and slowly got better and practiced every day. My coach moved me up to play with the age group above me and I worked hard and gave it my all at practices and in games. I was barely getting any playing time, but still enjoyed every single moment of it. Eventually that season and little league in general came to an end and it was time for me to enter middle school, we moved to San Antonio, Tx and it was a new beginning. I was excited to start AAU and really enjoyed playing it for the first time. Then going into my 7th grade year we moved to Round Rock Tx, I made new friends and everything was all good. Basketball tryouts came around and I caught the flu so I missed tryouts and the coach put me on the b team the whole season. Which is the lower team and which is the higher team? It really hurt me, but I never stopped working and proving myself so I would be prepared for 8th
