’’ He that lives upon hope will die fasting.’’ – Benjamin Franklin. This quote is stating that hope is not substantial enough to live on. Therefore, you will waste away just sitting around waiting for things to happen, instead of going out and making things happen. Benjamin Franklin believed that each person makes their own fortune through the way they live. Everyone depends on something to make it in this world. Everyone needs help, and anyone can get by on his or her own. Be careful on who you rely on they can just end up leaving you disappointed. For instance, my friend and I had planned to go to the movies one weekend. We was trying to come up with some money for me to go. She told me that she had it covered, and for me to meet her there so she could pay my way in. I had got there first, and had been waiting on her for 30 minutes, just to get a phone call and her telling me she did not feel well and could not make it. Therefore, I had no money and no ride home. I had only been once before, but it was forever ago, and I was excited about going. It did not take too long to get there at all. When we arrived we went and got a bite to eat, and then we bought our tickets. We bought two set of tickets for Sara and me, one to go to Kiddy Land with my niece while my sister and her boyfriend go to the big park and then one for later that night for us to go to the other park after we watch my niece. After a few hours of being there, they had not come and got my niece yet and I ended not getting to go to the big park that is night because they forgot all about me. Things do not always go the way you plan, so do not just sit around waiting for things to happen. Go out, have fun, and stop relying on other people as much. You are just going to be left disappointed, because things did not go the way you had
