Morning comes and the sun began to rise. We were getting ready for our journey to Mt. Rinjani. For first timers like me, I was extremely excited for our journey ahead. After we packed our things and daily needs, we went for our breakfast. We were served fried race, eggs, and hot sweet tea by our host. Reserving energy for our long journey is necessary, so we eat well and have some bananas for dessert. After we reserve energy, we began to start our journey. Before we start the hike, we had to go to the meeting point where we should ask permission to the locals. It is required in order for safety of the hikers. The guide gave us a short brief about the journey, and we started our hike! On the first couple of hours, I was very spirited on the journey and striving through the field of grass. There were cows laying there, the sun was brightly shining. The wind blew softly and the weather is very nice. After some time, we started to enter the woods. The woods has a different atmosphere, this time lost of tall trees were covering the sun. Many sounds of birds chirping surrounds us during the hike. It was much steeper than the path before. My legs felt like it would come off. But we could hear people cheering from above. That means the campsite is close! Me and Tharriel started to regain our spirit and we gained our pace. In just around 30 minutes, we finally reached the campsite. Gosh! It was very relieving and the view from the campsite was entertaining. We were literally camping above the clouds now. Some of the locals even sold beer there. Many foreigners also celebrate their arrival. Me and Tharriel took some photos, and continued to our tent. Finally, in the tent we can rest our feet. Poor feet forced to hike for approximately 12 hours, you deserve rest now. After awhile, we enjoyed our view around the campsite. The view is just getting more beautiful. Thick clouds were bellow touching some part of the mountain. The sun is starting to fade away, and the wind is very cold. Just reaching the campsite is eyes spoiling
