I have always wondered if there was truly a God. I am catholic, but I have had my doubts every once and awhile. There would be questions in my head, like how do we know for sure and is there a way to prove that there is no God. I learned in this video that there is no useful way to disprove God’s existence. For example, scientists have tried to use the scientific method to disprove God’s existence, but that wouldn’t work because the scientific method is limited to using observation and its experiments have to be measureable. However, God is not observable or measureable. On the other hand, the scientific method can be used for proving God’s existence. It can do this because if science can show that the universe had a beginning in time, then
that would imply a Creator had to be in existence. Another reason that it can prove that is if science can show that the conditions and constants of the universe being able to support life are highly unlikely, so it is realistic to conclude that a superior intelligence created it to be that way. Overall, I may have been having doubts about God, but I feel that there is a logical way to prove that God is real than there is to disprove his existence.
However, there is no researchers or method to either prove or disprove the existence of “God”. Descartes argues that the mind and soul cannot be measure in science; the mindless mechanistic “coincidences” is the direct results of God’s work. To conclude, the argument is all about faith and beliefs. There is no doubt that science contradicts religion, even some greatest scientists of the world have declared that there is some invisible power that we cannot explain through science. Yet, I believe that we should consider evidence that we have in order to examine the reality and “truth”. Our experiences of everyday life, the time that passed, the behaviors that we observe, were far more convincing than something that bases on a vague
without the proof of the fact. But on the other hand, God’s existence can not be. proved in terms of objective arguments and scientific facts. In answer to the question, God’s existence cannot be proved, but neither can his.
Happiness is fake, like something forced upon me; something not real, fabricated and I don’t like it. I’m supposed to like it though. I’m supposed to like everything the government forces on me. I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t feel content with my life, everyone else seems to be perfect while I’m falling apart at the seams.
The statement "God exists" is not proveable, or unfalsifiable. We cannot say whether it is true or false. This is because God is not a 'fact that can be observed and subjected to testing. People do not see God i...
... that God exists is the argument from miracles. This argument says that if miracles are true then God must exist, because s/he is the only being that could possibly violate the laws of nature. However, this theory relies to heavily on testimony and therefore cannot be counted as valid. In conclusion, there is no evidence to suggest that we can say with absolute certainty that we know that there is or is not a God.
The cosmological argument for the existence of God is fundamentally flawed, but impossible to disprove by nature. The teleological argument for the existence of God is actually somewhat clever, but easily disprovable. Ultimately, neither philosophy nor science can ever definitively state whether or not God exists. God, if real, exists outside of the realm of what science can measure. Philosophy, while useful in the never-ending debate regarding the great possible being in the sky, is too speculative and this cannot be tested. Arguments for and against God’s existence have been around for a very long time and will likely be around either until God himself makes an appearance, or until the human race dies out. It is not our place to know whether or not there is some higher creative being than us, and personally I am okay with that.
The question of whether there is any clear evidence of God's existence, tried to argue for many centuries, by engaging in this enlightened minds, representing both positions on this controversy. In recent years, evidence refuting the possibility of the existence of God have become the cause of many clashes, accusing at the same time anyone who dares to say that he believes in God, a man who believes illusions and irrational.Karl Marx stressed that everyone who believes in God must suffer from a mental disorder which affects its ability to correct thinking. The psychiatrist Sigmund Freud wrote that a person who believes in God the Creator has the illusion and asserts itself in this belief because they believe in the factor "fulfilling the wishes of" what causes human something that Freud recognized the undeserved position. The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche openly said that faith is synonymous with the reluctance of knowing what is true. The votes of these three historical figures (and others) are now re-presented by a new generation of atheists who claim that belief in God is intellectually justified. Is that what this is all about? Is belief in God is a symptom of irrational thinking? Is there a logical and reasonable evidence for the existence of God?Is beyond recourse to the Bible, the question of God's existence can be confirmed, refuted this position with both old and new atheists, and faith in the Creator of factly justified?Yes, it can.And what's more, the importance of evidence of the existence of God makes the position of atheists seem to be very convincing. To provide evidence for the existence of God, we must first put the right questions. We'll start with one of the most important, metaphysical questions: "Why do we have somet...
For centuries the question if God exists has been argued throughout the thoughts and minds of many philosophers and other thinkers. Aristotle, Kant, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Anselm are some of the many philosophers that have taken a toll with their arguments on the existence of God. There has been a vast number of theories and arguments that have been formulated in support of God’s existence. The most often talked about and more commonly known are the cosmological, teleological, the ontological, and the moral arguments. Although they’re all really well made and established arguments, none do the best job at proving the existence of God.
Many atheists have used science as a way to disapprove the existence of God. Science is not an accurate way of disapproving the existence of God(2). Scient...
Narrative – My Foolish Faith Life without hope in a dull, frustrating world congeals the stuff of human existence.almost. To some, born-lived-died is more than the plot of too many bad novels; it dooms them, chaining their lives to a Maslowian fate. Others drown the raw truth in unrelenting labor, raucous revelry, sunlit spring breezes, cigarettes at noontime, or the bottle. Yet some find hope in this droll, frustrating world, but they will not agree and cannot be sure of that hope. Or can they be a snob?
Proof Of The Exsistence of God Either God exists or He doesn't. There is no middle ground. Any attempt to remain neutral in relation to God's existence is automatically synonymous with unbelief. The question for God's existence is really important. Does God exist? Theology, cosmological, teleological and ontological arguments are all have ways to prove the existence of God. With all of these great arguments how can one deny that there is a God. There is a God and with these reasons I will prove that.
Some have argued that trying to prove the existence of God is incompatible with religious faith of the existence of God. What do you think about this?
In conclusion, as a man who is raised as a Christian I have never dared to ask myself or anyone if God really exists until this assignment. And the reactions that I had gotten from everyone that I have asked is that there are certain things that science could not answer and those things that can’t be described are Godly creation and nothing else. So the next time I am asked this very same question I will answer in such a way, there is nothing to truly to prove that God really exist, but we know God exist because we feel it deep inside our heart and we believe. In other words I have faith that God does really exist.
"Who Is God To Me" God means many different things to many different people. There are a lot of people who believe that there is no such thing as a God. There are people who believe that there is no God because no one has ever seen him. I personally believe that there is a God because of my faith. I have faith in God and I feel that God is real. I have many reasons why I believe in God and who God is to me. But I have three reasons that stand out for me about who God is to me. They are the following: God is always there for me, God is my friend, and God is my creator. These are my three most important reasons of who God is and what God means to me. God has never let me down in my life. Sometimes I feel that God has let me down or that He did not answer my prayers in times that I most needed Him. But I have to realize that everything that God does is for a reason. God has taken a few friends of mine from this Earth at a very young age. I have prayed to God and asked Him why? But I have never seemed to fully understand why. I have come to the conclusion that God works in mysterious ways. I do not think that anyone can fully understand why God does what He does. So for this, I do not feel that God has ever let me down. He just does these things for a reason and if you believe in Him, He will never let you down either. God is the longest lasting friend I have ever had in my life. He was there for me before I was born and He will be there for me after I leave this Earth. God is the best listener also. I can talk to God anywhere at anytime. Every time I want to talk to Him or ask Him a question, He is there for me. Most of my other friends are at least a phone call away, but not God. He has always been there in time of need, even though sometimes I feel like He is not. Even when I do something wrong, He is there to forgive me and set me straight.
Ever since I can remember, I have believed in God. I had always thought that he existed in a way that we did not understand and or can not comprehend, and that is spiritually (Almighty). I have always thought that it would be impossible to prove/disprove God's existence (solely based on the spiritual aspect), because if he is the almighty then he can come and go as he sees fit (be seen and unseen as he sees fit, too). There has been a lot that has happened to me, not only in spiritual essences, but also in a physical essence that strengthened my beliefs that God exists. Call it social conditioning, that I have this belief, but my family and friends all have the same belief. Even after the class (First course in philosophy) has ended I am no more clear whether God exist (in a physical manner) or does not (at all). Since I have grown up in the belief that God exists (which has not brought on any harm), then I shall go with what I believe in and state that he does exist. Evidence that he does exist is not needed, for this is like a court case you are innocent until proven guilty. So with this in mind, he exist until you can prove his non-existence. Although there are many arguments to disprove his existence none are solid proof. Just like there are many arguments to prove his existence that lack physical proof, too. With this all in mind I will argue that the, so-called, evidence of his existence out ways that of his non-exist...
