Introduction
Performing a professional development plan is something new for me, but i took it as a challenge that will help me achieve my goals, it will also help plan my ideas and future plans. I have found it very difficult to find work as a nurse in this country for not having, neither the experience nor the license in the state of FL. It had been a long time since I finished my studies and unable to find work as a nurse I gave up, stop looking and did not want to go back to school so soon. At the insistence of my mother and with the support of my family I decided to go back to school and finally start my baccalaureate so that I can open new doors and hopefully have a better job opportunity. I hope these two years pass quickly to achieve

The support of my family, especially my mother and enthusiasm of my daughter when she sees me studying encourages me and gives me the necessary strength to keep going. My daughter every time she asks me when I am going to go work in the hospital like grandma, she wanted me to finish studying already and take my tests so that I can get dressed as a nurse, this gives me strength every day and in union with my desire to achieve my goals, this time nothing will stop me until the end and with my effort and the help of my family, Keiser University, Professors and especially God I will accomplish it. "A mentor is an experienced nurse who is committed to nursing and to sharing knowledge with less experienced nurses to help advance their careers" (Black, 2014, p.128). My mentor is my mother who is who encourages me and helps me as far as you can, she was a nurse, BSN in Puerto Rico with 28 years of experience, seeing and living with her since I was a little girl she was reaching her achievements and that I was involved in them I want to emulate her and become as good or better than she is. “Yet through exchanging ideas about strengths over lunch or finding a mentor or coach we may find a way to begin to reap the benefits of developing potential through strengths” (Welch, Grossaint, Reid, and Walker, 2014). That is why I follow all of her advice and suggestions to achieve my goals. With the

When I began this journey I knew that Nursing was all I wanted to do and in order to succeed and do well in nursing school, it was going to require a ton of devotion and sacrifice. Nursing school did not come without its challenges, not only did we have to deal with going to class, clinicals, studying for exams, but we also had to add in the factors of jobs, family, marriages, children, sickness and our daily life. But our instructors encouraged us and pushed us to keep going, and for that we are grateful because we all made a decision to stick with it, and here we are today. It seems unimaginable that just a year ago this journey was just beginning, but here we are today a year later,
at the orphanage, I was able to help build a sidewalk and a garage for

First, I would like to start by stating that my expectation of a nurse is that he or she must be a good communicator, emotionally strong, empathetic, patient and calm, pay attention to detail and have good physical endurance. I feel that I possess these qualities which would make me very successful as nurse in the future. I have dream about being a nurse since I was a little girl and as a young adult, I still have the desire to be a nurse so I can help others. My desire to become a nurse evolves from past experiences that have taken place in my life; for example, my father’s death, my illness, personal experience and interaction with the hospital staff, specifically, the nurses.
