Recommended: Career opportunities as a Marine Biologist
Ever since I was little, my dream was always to be a Marine Biologist. Marine Biologist seems like such a fun and interesting job I would love to part take in. My Aunt is a Marine Biologist and I feel she had a great impact on me when deciding that Marine Biology is something I really want to go involved in once I’m older. I also have a goal with my life to do something that makes both me and my mom extremely proud of me. “Yeah, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life” Those were the thoughts going through my head when I first walked into the Marine Center with my Aunt while she was going in for work. Seeing so many people together working on finding a way to save these marine animals and seeing all the different types of animals they all get to work on had me in awe. It was so amazing. Something else about that place made me feel very comfortable. Everyone was so nice and smiley and they all just seemed generally happy. My mom always told me when it comes down to going to college and learning about something for a career I want to do, to make sure it makes me happy and …show more content…
Another thing I wanted to do was be a teacher but I knew those weren’t the goals I was completely aiming for so when I discovered how Marine Biology made me feel, I also discovered that a lot of marine biologist are also teachers or college professors during the time where things start to get slow. I plan of receiving my master degree in college to become a Marine Biologist. There’s a lot of personality traits a good marine biologist keeps to contain and I personally feel like I have them all. One of the biggest ones are to be able to enjoy the outdoors and have a love for scientific experiments and have a patience to repeat them. Also my aunt told me in her work field, everyone are very strong communicators. I find those all to be traits I’m pretty good
Although I grew up in a military family, I never saw myself going into a military career. Up until I was about fourteen years old, I planned on being a marine biologist in Hawaii. Sounds nice, right? Well, at the end of my eighth grade year I decided that I might as well join NJROTC, because all of my friends were doing it and it seemed okay. I have to say, looking back, I was quite naive. Joining NJROTC was the smartest and most valuable decision I have made to this day.
I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
To me, marine biology is a subject unlike any other. Studying the nature of marine life means
I have always wondered what my future career would be.I experienced many things during my days in school and at home.My experiences helped me realize that I should become an animal caretaker.Becoming an animal caretaker would mean that I could spend my time working and interacting with animals.I would need to be able to care for living creatures, have the right education, and withstand the disadvantages.
Growing up I struggled with the constant question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” With so many different career paths to choose from, it’s hard to become overwhelmed. As college gradually tiptoed in on me, I began to feel like I would never find the profession right for me. The few things that I did know I wanted in my future career were very simple to me. They were a job in the healthcare world where I could go home each night knowing I made a difference in someone’s life. A job that wasn’t just following a routine everyday but required creativity and brought new challenges while working with a diverse population.
My dream career is to become a school counselor. Researching the training and education, debt accrued, skills needed, work environment and so on educated me to a very full extent. My dream career will take a lot of focus and determination but I am confident in my ability to achieve what I set my mind too.
that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field but I was not sure
My dream career would be becoming a Marine Biologist. I traveled a lot when I was younger and still continue to. Which is what started to lead me to wanting to be in this career. Another aspect being put into this is I joined swim at a very young age and have always loved water. One of the final aspects is I love animals, especially marine animals. I have always thought that they were the most in danger, they cannot speak out for themselves or show any actions to stop in. They aren’t easily seen to the public eye and a large number is still undiscovered. So they are easily overlooked and even if they are being mistreated no one can see so most don’t care. So I thought why not find a career that can help them, interacting, collecting data,
I want to be a Marine Biologist like Rachel Carson. I want to be a Marine Biologist because I love Marine animals. I also want to help the Marine animals when they get hurt. I would want to make the world a better if I was a Marine Biologist. I would make the world a better place by making sure the ocean is clean, making sure the ocean is safe for people and animals to swim in, and by cleaning up trash and oil spills. Then everyone could enjoy a nice day at the
When I am out of college and finished with all of my education, I would like to become a Marine Biologist. I knew I wanted to be a around a scenic job when I was in middle school. I am so fascinated with what is underneath the water and all the marine life that lives in it. Ever since middle school, I have been looking into different jobs that work around the ocean that do lab work and in the field. When I came upon a Marine Biologist, I thought it would be an interesting job to pursue.
I want to study how animals interact with their environments, and how we as humans can improve or maintain their living conditions. If I seem to not like that I would like to work with animals individually. Working with marine animals to help them with illnesses or injuries that they may have. I remember watching the movie “Dolphin Tale”, and as cheesy as it sounds, it opened a whole new world that I had never known about. Providing rehab for injured animals seems so fulfilling and exciting all in one. When most people hear that I want to go into a science degree they assume that I am going to spend all my days hunched over a microscope, looking at amebas, but I will work as hard as I need to be out on the field working one on one with the animals and environment. The ocean always seems to be calling me and pulling me towards it, and I feel that the ocean will be my home once I am able to get a degree to work with
I would like to be a marine biologist because not much of the ocean has been explored. If I could explore at least 1% of what has not been seen, I would be satisfied. I would like to be a marine biologist so that I can discover new species of marine life. Some marine biologists have found evidence of enormous squids, but have never seen their entir...
My teachers would give me career aptitude tests, and I researched job after job. I looked into research careers, I liked science and I always did well in my lab classes, I also looked into careers in marine biology as a possibility. The more I researched, however, the less interested I became in these careers. No matter how much I explored, I always came to the same answer: Veterinarian.
Ten years from now I hope to accomplish my dream goals or be striving towards those goals. The phrase “dream goals” can entail a million little easily accomplishable things, such as making it through the day in one piece or a far fetched goal such as going into outer space. For me, my main goals or “dream goals” that I am currently striving for are career based, and that goal is to one day become a successful Marine Biologist that specializes in cetaceans, more commonly known as marine mammals, while also trying my hardest to converse the natural beauty of the oceans ecosystem. Becoming a Marine biologist may not be the most financially sound job, or even an easily achieved career, but for me it is not about the money or the easy way. Would I prefer that I have a high income? Yes. Would I prefer to strive for a job that is not so competitive and limited? Of
I have wanted to become a Veterinarian but then changed it to become a Zoologist. I think that Zoology is more interesting and exciting; being able to be so close up with a wild animal, an animal that you would never thought about being so close to. To get that career goal train started I will go to community college then transfer to North Carolina State University. Having to overcome my two challenges of financial and academics; overcoming financial by applying for financial aid, grants, and student loans. Overcoming my academics by studying more often, having study groups, attend tutoring, and quizzing me with flash cards. Overall I think this career goal of mine will be a success; only if I overcome my challenges.
