As a child growing up, I have always like moving things around. Mother would always fuss at me about moving things around in the house. My brother and I would take a chair and place things on the chair in order to move objects around. With that being said the career that I have chosen to pursue is one of a Forklift Operator. The mere thought of freedom of movement and being your own boss in a sense should motivate anyone to pursue a career as one. A forklift operator is not a job or career to be taken lightly. As a forklift operator, a person will be responsible for operating the fork lift, of course, but also with moving, locating, relocating, and stacking of products. Safety is a must. Another reasonability would be wrapping order on pallets for shipments. A forklift operator should be able to move around a warehouse with ease and not bump into things or other people.
The majority of the time, a person will be required to stand or walk, push or pull pallets and some lifting is required as well. A person might be required to lift a certain amount before being hired. The level of education varies according to where a person obtain his or her certification. Most companies or businesses will accept a high school diploma or GED certificate. Some companies will provide on-the-job training. Those facts play a great deal in determining the salary a person will make as a forklift operator. A person can expect to work at least 40 hours per week. Some might have the option to select which ship he or she would like to work whether it 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Most of the time a person is going to work Monday thru Sunday. In order to find the best company to work for, a person should take in to consideration the area that he or she wants to work and live in and doing research on varies companies would not hurt one’s chance of being
successful with this career also. A job or a career is all what a person makes of it; whether it is good or bad.
I chose this job because it was a great interest to me. I myself have an old diesel truck at home and really enjoying working on it. It amazes how all the moving parts come together to make a super powerful, efficient, overall great vehicle in general. When i turn sixteen i will most likely drive a 1996 Ford f250 7.3 liter turbo
Purchasing utilized forklifts is one of the most ideal approaches to get a quality forklift at a much lower expense than it would be in the event that you purchased the vehicle fresh out of the box new. Forklifts have a tendency to be exorbitant when fresh out of the plastic new, as they are inconceivably intense vehicles that are worked to keep going for a considerable length of time. As opposed to spending a fortune acquiring a fresh out of the plastic new forklift, you might find that an utilized forklift will give you precisely what you require at a small amount of the cost.
Choosing a career path was not easy. I wanted to be able to do so many task that did not fit into certain criteria. My main goal in life is to be able to help those that need support. Getting a psychology degree was a leverage because I could get my degree in this field and use it to help others out. I wanted to be a psychodynamic therapist when I started classes, but after finding out there are more career paths available, I decided to enter the work force of being a victim advocate.
Growing up all my friends had perfect jobs for teenagers. As a teenager, I spent a lot of time applying for jobs and searching for places to work because money didn’t come easy and I wanted to be in control of my own money. But I could never score a job. I applied to at least 100 jobs at least twice and I still couldn’t get an opportunity.
... world depending on how the employers feel. Being in the Truck Driving Industry can be really enjoyable and exciting. Going to work can lead to experiments and lots of more stuff such as different states that someone always have wanted to see and go.
When I grow up I would like to be a construction worker. Construction workers are the men and women that you see working on various construction sites, for example residential construction, highway construction, commercial construction, and more. I chose this career because I enjoy working in the outdoors as well as building structures. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills, or talents needed, salary and benefits offered and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
As a child, I have always had an obsession for watching action movies with my father. We always had that bond with one another, action movies were typically the only movies we would watch. The longer I would watch the movies the more thoughts came across my head. Since then I always wondered if I should focus my career in Law Enforcement. I would always say “Mom, Dad, I am going to be a Policeman.” The more I continued to watch these movies the more I would convince myself to become a Policeman. At one point in time I realized that the crime scenes would catch my attention way more than Policeman. Then I realized that my obsession was not based on Law Enforcement it was based on Forensic Science. A thought occurred to me, what would it be
Along with creating steps which will lead me towards my ultimate career goal, the creation of a specific five-year plan for myself was key. In five years I will be in school, hopefully in my final year of my Masters degree; a plan which seems so simple to achieve, however requires an extensive amount of hard work and dedication. Being so far in my academic career already, I will hopefully have worked in summer internships or been employed during the year by a speech-language pathologist or various health institutions to gain experience in the profession and potentially become full time employed by one of these institutions post-graduation. Within the five years, I will have as well established networks and built relationships with multiple
This career option as an assessment employer for the child protective services could possibly be a long-term career option. Although, I do not believe I would want this as my long-term career goal. Choosing to work directly out of college would also allow myself to gain experience within the field which would improve the possibility of getting a better job or getting into graduate school. If I was hired and I did accept the position within five years my goal would be to continue working while attending school to further mu education. I would continue to work to gain more experience as well as helping me get through school by paying off my tuition. I would not leave this job until I graduate and had another job lined up.
There are a lot of educational requirements as well as training one must take on the job training. They would like it if you have taken high school courses like appliance repair, blueprint reading, drafting, equipment maintenance and repair, as well as physical education. Apprenticeship programs are available and on the job training, as well as having a High School Diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) is required. A typical day on the job would include the employee to put on their safety gear (e.g. work gloves, coveralls, safety helmet, boots, respirators or some sort of ventilation etc.). Some employers may ask if you have any type of degree in a field related to the job. College is required if you do not have any work experience and you want to be a supervisor. It will cost anywhere from $6,292.00 to $18,892.00 for tuition, $1,270.00 for books and supplies $2,580 for personal transportation, and $7,616 ...
The career field I chose is to be a firefighter. The reason why I want to be a firefighter is because they help people and prevent fires from spreading. I’ve always wanted to help people everywhere, because I don’t like it whenever if there is an accident and some people died and lost their loved ones, people talking crap about them and just talking and pointing the cameras in their face watching them cry. I want to help people and make a difference and help protect people’s life, and be someone people recognize when I walk by them.
This is it, the day it all comes to fruition. Saturday night, right around dinner time, my dad and I set out to meet a man to look at what could potentially become my first truck. We had been interested in the truck for quite some time, and today was the day we decided to make an offer. It was quite a lengthy drive in my dad’s old beat up Chevy, but I knew that it would be worth it. Finally, we arrive at our destination, and things couldn’t have worked out any better.
I have a 3,650 page blank book to write, so I better make it something worth reading. I have always been the type of person to wonder about what my future holds. I, like many others, have changed my mind on career choices more times than I can count, but it wasn’t until I joined the military August 27, 2013 that I decided on my life’s journey to become a corrections officer.
The career I choose to pursue is the career of Business Administration. This career consists of running a small or big business and being able to run it and be capable of making small or very important decisions. A business runs and depends on the people and how people spend their money. If people spend their money responsibly and they know how to administrate their money and will make the economy to be stable and be good. As we all know, the economy has been really bad for the past year and it has made millions of people loose their homes and their jobs. The economy is a big factor in this career and it could be a huge problem that can be faced for a long period of time and more than once.
Up until about a pair months ago I totally felt like I was opening off in
