I felt the train come to a sudden halt as I sat in my chair with a major headache that was slowly getting better. "Mer? Do you need help?" I hear Evelyn ask me. I looked up from my position as I had my head leaning against my hand. I don't know if I should get off or not. I haven't seen my old best friend, Danny, in years and his first impression towards me was hitting on me. I know how it's going to be if I get off. I'm going to see him, he's going to see me and when I tell him that I'm the Meredith that he had been best friends with ever since he was nine. It's going to be galoot once he knows who I am. "No, I don't need help because I'm staying on the train. I'm blowing this popsicle stand it's grotty to me." I said as I leaned my chin …show more content…

"Meredith?" I heard another voice say. I let go of Rafe's hug to look at the direction the voice came from. I looked around to only see the arrogant man from the barracks who happened to be my old best friend, Danny Walker. "Hi, Danny." I greeted as I stood on the sidewalk watching him gaze upon me. I stayed behind because I didn't want to walk anywhere near the pilots right now. I didn't want to go because I knew that Danny would be with them talking about me and other women there with them probably debating on how their children will look like or how good they are in …show more content…

We stopped near the middle as there were some people slow dancing with their partners. Danny still had my hand as he spun me around once causing me to laugh. After he spun me, he pulled me towards him as my arms were tucked in between mine and his chests and his were on the small of my back. I flashed a smile at him as he looked down upon me. "I've never felt like this before." He whispered as he moved his hands from the small of my back to my waist like how you're supposed to dance. I moved my arms out from their place from before and draped one on his shoulder as the other made it's way to his left hand while we started to sway side to side in a slow motion. We stared into each other's eyes as we began getting closer and closer. His hot breath was hitting my lips bringing back to when we first kissed but I could tell this time he was hesitant. "Danny?" I said catching his attention. He hummed at me trying not to speak as I caught him in the
