Personal Essay: The Great Father Is The Great Dad

From the minute I was born, dad was the first person to hold me in his bare arms. Dad has always been there for me, through the rough and tough times. When I cry in pain, he comes running, and I feel that pain inside of him. I can never explain how much passion and love I have for Dad. He is a person no one on this planet can replace because of the great dad he is. I remember him telling a story, and the split second when he finished the beginning of it, tears starting to roll down my cheeks, like the never-ending Niagara Falls. Dad never had a superb life growing up. Dad grew up in the wrong place at the wrong time. When he was a kid, he had a wealthy life back in the country of Vietnam during the 1960’s. My great grandfather, who was my dad’s dad, was the wealthiest and the richest person in county. He was a famous author, writing stories of the ancient battles of the Han Dynasty. Everywhere he went Dad told me everybody knew my great grandfather, every block of the inch from the beginning out of that doorstep. Dad was a very ignorant kid when he was little, but the smartest one of the family. Great grandfather always cherished and adored my dad the most out the household. I would not have graduated from high school in 2015 and would not be sitting here in class. Here I am today attending at TCC, and pursuing my dreams as like my dad did, and like him, I will never give up no matter what the cause is. Dad will always be the person I look up to no matter how tall I grow. My father is my teacher but most importantly he is a great dad.
