My Dad
In writing about an important person in my life, there are a number of people that I could discuss. But, I feel that the person who is very special to me and one who has been the most influential, is my dad.
He is the type of person that makes me very proud to say that he is my father, and the type of father that I am most fortunate to have. My father and I have always been very close. He is both loving and caring and the type of person that always puts his family first.
My dad has always been there for me both as a parent and a friend. When I was little, my dad got involved in coaching in my little league baseball, basketball and soccer, and always made time for these father and son activities. We liked to play ball together and still do at times. My dad is a big sports fan and so am I, and I look forward to the weekends when we watch the ball games together. My dad started to take my to the ball games when I was about 5 years old, and we've been doing that ever since. But, playing ball isn't all that's important in life. My father has given me the necessary guidance and has taught me values as a person that have helped me develop from a child into a responsible adult. I want him to be proud of me too, and I know that he is.
His influence has been very strong and meaningful, as I have gone through some difficult periods where he has helped me to be more focused on my goals and trying to accomplish what I set out to do. We discuss my problems, try to put them in the right perspective and deal with them properly. As I am still living at home, with my parents and sister, I am constantly
Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev is considered one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. Not only was Sergeyevich an accomplished pianist, but he was an outstanding and famous conductor as well. He was infinitely skilled at a wide range of musical genres, including symphonies, concerti, operas, program pieces, film music, and ballets. His works were considered both ultra-modern and innovative for their time. Ironically, Prokofiev died on the same day as Stalin - 05 March 1953.
The second piece was Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, opus 35. Little of his music is well known outside of Russia, which is surprising since it’s beautifully written. His operas are almost never performed in the West, and we seem to know him best through his students. He heavily influenced orchestral instrument coloration, and we can see that through other Russian composers’ music. His ability to create music by blending colors remains the greatest part of his legacy.
...dard of Soviet art. He revealed feelings of those suffering around him through his music. His legacy and musical styles have persevered, and Shostakovich is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential composers on twenty-first century music.
I hated my father for a long time. I resemble him completely, and everyone says I am a copy of him in appearance. And some people even said that 30 years after, I would be what he was completely in everything. But I really disliked to be told so, and I felt it was an insult to me. My father was an object of detestation for me; to be his son was my curse. I didn't regard him as my father and despised him very much, so I sought ways of revenge on him. I decided that after I graduate from university and I can earn my own living, I would abandon him. "For now, I will act a meek son, but it won't last forever. He should live his lonely old age," I thought.
In all possible words that I may choose to describe the relationship with my father, the one word that accurately expresses the emotion that has accrued throughout the years would be "admirable." The Oxford English Dictionary defines this word as "arousing or deserving respect and approval." As a father he taught me the importance of attaining an exceptional education. As a man he advocated the urgency of harboring honor and discipline. Encompassing the authoritative parenting style, I have always known my father to encourage success but welcome failure. That is, so long as an honest effort was made. Personally, I credit his parenting style in part due to his military background. Or maybe it was due in part of the lack of a father-figure in his childhood. Whatever the reasoning, I am proud and grateful for having him in my life not only as a father, bu...

My father has been a great influence in my life. The reason why my dad has influenced me is because he was able to raise me. My dad raised my two brothers and me by himself because my mother passed away. The day when my mother passed away was hardest time for us all. My brother and I were in waiting room with a friend of my Dad’s. My Dad came out of my mother’s room with worried face. My Dad told us that mother was not feeling well, so we
Russian composers are often mentioned in history as the most influential in the world. With style unlike any other, Russians are able to capture mood through a unique ability to capture exactly what they feel. Exactly how the Russians are able to do this is unknown, though through this, the greatest composers have turned out to be Russian. Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich are all able to write and portray the most detailed feelings and moods, and it is to them that we owe the advancement of all music.
When I turned six years old I was old enough to play on a Little League team, and my father volunteered to be the coach. He worked long hours but always found enough time to dedicate to the team. At first our team was not very good, but that would soon change. My father practiced us hard every week and by the end of the season we made the playoffs. Even though we did not win the Championship that year, our team had reason to be proud. We won a few games, and we had a lot of fun, thanks to my dad. I played baseball for a total of ten years, and he was my coach for at least half of them.
My dad is always happy to help. He always has time to assist me with whatever I need. Sometimes when I don't comprehend a certain thing on my homework, he works through the problem with me until I fully understand how to solve it myself. He is very inquisitive and is always showing me diverse ways to solve my problems If I have to do chores around the house, he is always the first one I call. He and I work together as a team and finish them. Also, I speak two languages, so it is a little hard when I am talking to my parents to not get the two mixed up. Luckily, my dad helps me by correcting me if I mispronounce a word or phrase and reminds every time I make that same mistake so it sticks in my head forever. That way when I'm talking to my grandparents or other family members, I know how to speak properly.
Everyone has had accomplishments in their life, and behind those accomplishments is someone who has had an impact on their life. My mother is my greatest influence for several reasons. She supports me, and the decisions I make, showed me that success comes from hard work, she inspires me and taught me to always believe in myself.
Who is the most significant person in my life? Well, that is easy enough to answer. However, there is not just one significant person that is in my life. My mother and father are the most important people in my life. I couldn 't possibly just pick one of them to write about because they both mean so much to me, and there is so much to tell about the two of them. From cuts and bruises all the way up to the major stuff, such a broken heart, they have always been there to patch me up, and repair the broken heart. They are my shoulder to cry on, and my motivation when I feel like I can’t handle life. I would definitely not be the person I am today without the two of them. I’d consider myself lucky to be half the person that they are.
I always think to myself, “What would I do if I didn’t have a father like him?” I think about it and then I say, “I would be in the cracks, not doing anything because there is no one here to keep me going and to keep me motivated.” My dad is an amazing cool person to me because he shows me that no matter what struggles he faces in his life or what happens to him, he always gets out of them and he has me and my mom to help him.
