Working with elderly people can be exhausting but also can be amazing. Imagine helping older people and hanging out with them, playing games, helping them do things around the house that they cannot do any longer. Given the fact that elderly people are not treated right in the nursing home or in their own home a personal care aide is a person who makes sure the elders are treated fairly, They help them bathe, clean, make them food, make sure they have company, play games and take them places if they need something. Personal care workers help older people and it is rewarding to help and know you're helping people with things they need to do. Visualize having a job with the skills people don't have to help elderly people. If looking to become a personal care aide a student will need to finish high school as career cruising states the certifications, education and licenses needed are: “ If you want to be a personal care aide the education varys usually depends on your job title and state where you work sometimes there is no required education and sometimes a high school diploma is needed” given these things needed for this job people could easily get into this job field just by wanting to help older people. This job could be a great start for someone who wants to get into this kind of job field and it can lead them in a good path. A personal care aide with experience will receive more money than a personal care aide with very little experience. On the website called “Career Cruising” has a document about how much a median salary for a personal care aide would be and as it states, “Personal care aides often make an hourly wage most make between $8 and $15 an hour. This adds up to about 17,000 to 31,000 a year for those who work full time. The median wage is around $11 an hour or about 22,000 a year. Supervisors in an elder agency or residential facility can earn more”. This shows how much money someone would be earning per year working with older people yet it isn't a lot of money people still love it because they have fun with elders and like helping them with things they cant do because of their age. Working as a care aide worker you need to have experience with technology such as Calendar and scheduling software also database reporting software email and a scanning software (Onetonline) to work with this occupation so you know what to do and how to not mess something up that might be important.
