Giving the perfect pedicure The procedure of giving a great pedicure can be found in the following pages. A pedicurist or licensed cosmetologist typically performs the service. The pedicure service can be done anytime and is typically done in a spa salon. A pedicure is given to bring the client comfort/ relaxation and to renew the skin from the foot working. The steps in giving a great pedicure are the set-up, beginning the pedicure with the removal of the polish, ending the pedicure with the mask, and finally the massage and polish. Prior to starting the pedicure, you will want to sanitize the feet with a spray(Juliya Konovokic). When beginning the pedicure add a few drops of liquid soap or nail scrub, scents that would be comforting for you (Juliya Konovokic). Pedicures have become a part of the American lifestyle to the extent that many people get pedicures more often than they have their haircut (Frangie 851). The soak should last approximately 5 minutes, soften the feet and the removal of calluses will be easier (Spa Girl). The pedicurist will then remove old toenail polish. then trim and shape the nails with a file and buff off the dead skin from the soles of the your feet (Spa Girl). The legs and feet will then be exfoliated. the dead skin is then removed. You should bring flip flops to avoid messing up the polish (Spa Girl). You never want to cut your nails
