Children's Television Report The first show I will be discussing is Peppa Pig. I watched this show at 2pm on Nickelodeon Jr. The second show I will be discussing is Curious George. Curious George is my son's personal favorite show so we watched it together at 3pm on PBS. Peppa Pig didn't consist of a one 30 minute plot, instead the show contained several mini adventures each about 4 to 5 mins long. The first one was titled, Frogs and Worms and Butterflies. Peppa and her brother George are helping their grandpa in the garden when Peppa spots a beautiful butterfly. They learn from grandpa pig that butterflies like flowers because they get their food from them. They use their long tong to suck the nectar out. Peppa pretends to be a butterfly and when her brother …show more content…
When Peppa sees how much fun George and Grandpa Pig are having she joins in on the fun too. As they are playing, they spot a frog and learn that frog like to jump in muddy puddles. This is Peppa and George's favorite thing to do so they all decide to be frogs and jump in puddles. In the second adventure, the Treehouse, Peppa and her family visit randma and grandpa pig. Grandpa Pig surprises Peppa and George with a treehouse. Peppa excitingly enters the house, but first, she remembers her grandma taught her to remove her muddy shoes before entering. When George asked if he could join in she politely asked him to remove his shoes as well. However, when Mommy Pig ask if she can come in the tree house Peppa replies that she must say the magic words which are "daddy's big tummy." When Mommy Pig says the secret words everyone laughs except for Daddy Pig. Instead, Daddy Pig's facial expression changes and he holds his tummy in shame. When Daddy Pig asks if he can come into the tree house, Peppa replies he must say the magic words, embarrassed he asks for a different magic saying. When Peppa insists, he says "Daddy's big
Teitz explains that the living spaces for the pigs are so small that they will trample each other to death, and piglets are unintentionally smashed by their mothers. Teitz asserts that, not only are the living spaces small, but they...
His neighbors also have a strange game they play that’s called Interstellar Pig. Their neighbors are about in their mid-twenties. There is one girl, Zena, and two boys, Joe and Manny. Barney is rummaging through the neighbors house when they leave to try and find out why they are so interested in the house and why they just stopped and was like in a trance when they saw the markings on the window.
Pig the pug is a very selfish and quite rude little pug, and Aaron Blabey has written a book which is very well written describing a particular time this grumpy canine threw a tantrum and himself out the window!
When the TV show first started, Pierre was given a little toy bank. As the movie went on and the show became more and more successful, more dolls started appearing around the room. Then when the movie started to go south, the piggy banks started going crazy. Slowly at first, then eventually completely freaking out.

In the 1890’s, somewhere in England “The Story of the Three Little Pigs” was created. In this fairy-tale, an old sow sends out three pigs to find their wealth. Firstly, while establishing their wealth, the pigs came across this man that supplied them with material to build their houses. Therefore each pig begins to build their own house, either out of straw, sticks, or stones. The pigs soon after came across the wolf and he blows down the first two pigs houses and eats the pigs. Secondly, there is one pig left, but his house is too strong to blow down. The wolf then tries to outsmart the pig by sending him to different locations to meet him instead of trying to blow down his house. On the other hand, the pig ends up outsmarting the wolf by showing up an hour early to all the destinations. Lastly at the final destination, the fair, the pig scares the wolf by rolling down a hill in a butter churner out of fear of seeing the wolf coming towards the fair. In the end, the wolf got fed up with the pig and declared to eat the pig by climbing through the chimney. The pig once again outsmarts the wolf by putting a pot of boiling water under the chimney and the wolf ends up falling in. The pig, then proceeded to eat the wolf. The third pig ate the wolf as a survival tactic when the wolf declared to eat the pig by using his wits to outsmart
Another different thing about the story was when the events took place. They showed the pigs walking on their hind legs after they showed when Jessie couldn’t tell the difference between the humans and the pigs.
The two main characters in the novel, John and Lorraine, were hilarious, kind, sneaky and generous. Some parents may think this book would be not appropriate for their kids. There are a couple of themes that would indicate why theses parents would not like The Pigman. Themes such as Drugs, Alcohol, Mortality, and Guilt are described in detail throughout
“In the late 1960s, a television producer named Joan Ganz Cooney set out to start an epidemic. Her targets were three-, four-, and five-year-olds. Her agent of infection was television, and the “virus” she wanted to spread was literacy” (Gladwell 89). The Tipping Point is a book on the study of epidemics- including mental epidemics and trends. Sesame Street, still one of the most iconic shows to date, is an epidemic; the splurge of knowledge that appeared in children after it began to air is undeniable. The show started production in New York in 1968. Shows for children such as Sesame Street support children in school and throughout life by teaching them memorable lessons from helpful muppets. Nevertheless, how and

Over time there has been a major debate over television and children. Some think that kids shouldn’t watch it, some say that it is okay in moderation, and others say it doesn’t have any effects. The real debate starts when one starts to talk about the content of the shows. Sesame Street is a show that most would say is for all ages, but is it truly educational? Can kids really learn from it?
The second little pig was building himself a house also, but he too, like his brother, was a lazy little pig that did not like to work much. He also decided to take the easy path of life, and make his home simply out of sticks. In no time at all, he finished building the cheap house. However, it too was insecure.
