Drafting a Personal Narrative
Overview:
We each have significant events or “chapters” that make up our lives and have helped shape who we are becoming. A personal narrative is an essay in which you tell the story of one of those important memories, lessons or events. Your narrative, will include characters, a series of related events (plot) and a setting. Beyond just explaining what happened, however, an excellent personal narrative also reflects on what the incident meant to you then and what it means to you now (In other words, WHY is this memory worth writing about? What happened to you, your life and/or your sense of self as a result of it?).

A narrative is the revealing effect of a story from the first person point of view, which describes an experience, story or a set of events. In the story, the narrator tries to engage the audience to make the story further compelling. The narrator’s job is to take a point and a stance to display the significant point of his or her’s view.
Most of the events in the movie are told in the correct order that they happened, but they have many inaccuracies in them. One event that is not in the correct order is when Rafe volunteered to join the RAF Eagle Squadron, this didn’t happen in reality until after December 7, 1941. There are many scenes that never even actually even happened in real life. The scene where Admiral Kimmel was playing golf and found out about the attack happening never occurred in real life. Another scene that historians

Personally Saturday nights are my favorite, and I followed the same routine every weekend. So why would this weekend be any different? My room felt cozy as I looked up time to time to see my twinkling Christmas lights I leave up all year. I loved how the sweet scent of vanilla filled up the plain air of my bedroom. Wearing my biggest sweatshirt that dangled at my fingertips, I sat on my bed leaning comfortably on my pillows. Every now and then, the sound of a notification would break the sound of silence. This is how I preferred my Saturday nights to be.
This can also be described as the way story events are distributed within the film by the plot. This distribution results in narration. Range and depth of information are the most important considerations when distributing story events for narrative purposes. Bordwell & Thompson, 2004, p.87

I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
