Between 1961 and 1983 Ottis Toole and his lover Henry Lee Lucas are thought to have killed up to 65 people. Toole confessed to many murders however the police believe most of these confessions to be false. What is true however is that Toole was a serial arsonist, killer and rapist who also practiced cannibalism. He was sentenced to death but had this sentence commuted to a life sentence. Toole died in prison in 1996.
While he was definitely not what most people would consider to be a skilled artist, Toole created a few artworks during his sentence. His pictures are all of faces, each with what appears to be wild, wiry hair surrounding them. One of these faces seems to be that of devil, completed with horns and blood running out of his mouth.

Murder is one of the most cold-hearted crimes a person can commit. People frequently commit it willfully and shamelessly, but few get away without being suspected. O.J. His once colorful and vibrant paintings have now been drowned by in a haze of a single, dark color as described above. Although Quidor’s painting technique changed, he still uses his paintings to convey his humor and poke fun at the human vices and emotions. In The Devil and Tom Walker, Tom walker is giving into his greed, and striking a deal with the devil. A skull is pictured on the ground in the forgotten and forsaken swamp, foreshadowing that anyone who makes a deal with the devil will, in turn, be forgotten. In Tom walker’s Flight, the devil has come to claim Tom Walker’s soul. Quidor displays the humor in the irony that Tom Walker, who made a deal with the devil to accumulate wealth, position, and property, is now leaving it all behind in an attempt to save himself. Quidor uses these, and other paintings to emphasize the mortal fear people have of supernatural evil, and the consequences of greed

The person I chose to research was Gary Ridgway. He is also known as The Green River Killer. Gary was a serial killer in Washington. He has been convicted of murdering 49 women, he has confessed to around 60 killings, but is estimated to have killed closer to 80 women. All the women that he had killed were prostitutes that he had picked up, had sex with them, and then strangled them. He says that he never raped or tortured any of his victims, he just killed them. Gary started killing prostitutes in 1892 and is confirmed to have killed till 1998, but is thought that his last kill was around 2001. He was called the Green River Killer because his first victims’ bodies were found around the Green River.

He had no stable father figure, as his father left him and his mother when Toole was young, and an abusive mother (Ottis Toole
Scott Falater wasn’t one of them though. In January 1997, Scott Fillater stabbed his wife 44 times and drowned her in the family pool at their home in Arizona. He was as well known for his sleep walking but much of his actions seemed odd for a sleepwalker. Before he committed the crime, he put on his work jeans and a pair of gloves. At the time, he was sleepwalking as he worked on the pool his wife overheard sounds coming from outside as she watched TV. It is believed that she possibly walked out there and accidentally startled him and it caused him to attack. Or he purposely lured his wife out there. After he stabbed her he changed and put his bloody clothes in his trunk compartment where his spare tire was. It is believed he retired back to his wife’s body to find her still alive. He then proceeded to drown her. This is when a neighbor over seen the murder and called 911. To this day Scott Fallater is serving his life
