Guilty: Without A Doubt Murder is one of the most cold-hearted crimes a person can commit. People frequently commit it willfully and shamelessly, but few get away without being suspected. O.J. Simpson was beloved by many people; he was a respected football player, actor, and sports announcer. Orenthal James Simpson was very smart about murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Goldman. No one will know the true events of the murder of Nicole and Ronald. On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found murdered outside of Nicole’s Brentwood home. Nicole had been stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, and Ronald has was alos slashed to death. Detectives believed O. J. Simpson had committed the murders, therefore they obtained an arrest warrant. Despite gruesome evidence against O. J. Simpson, he was acquitted of all charges with the help of his “dream team of defense lawyers.” …show more content…
Simpson murder trial, there are a couple of things that piqued my interests. One was the notorious car chase down the Los Angeles freeway in a white Ford Bronco driven by AL Cowlings with O.J. Simpson hiding in the back. Robert Shapiro was supposed to surrender his client to the Los Angeles Police Department, but instead it is my opinion that O. J. Simpson lawyers and friends came up with a plan to get publicity and supporters. The second was the most crucial point of the trial is when O.J. Simpson squeeze his hand into the leather glove that was linked to the killings. This led to the famous argument by Johnnie Cochran “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” As the years passed by many untold stories are revealed. A recent new documentary states that “Simpson had stop talking his arthritis medicine two weeks” in advance so his hands would be swollen to persuade the jury of his innocents.

One of the most coveted trials in terms of popularity and media attention the O.J Simpson trial which took place between 1994 and concluded on October 2,1995 with O.J Simpson being acquitted of charges laid upon him during the Murder Trial Due to handling of physical evidence and questions over whether Mark Fuhrman planted the bloody glove at the scene to frame O.J. so in an attempt to understand how a deviation from standard operating procedures in the handling of physical evidence can affect the outcome of a criminal trial; One most first understand evidence and how to preserve it. When the crime scene technician took blood samples from Simpson’s Ford Bronco (1996) she used a cotton swab to take samples; but instead of using
The job of a criminal lawyer is quite difficult. Whether on the defense or the prosecution, you must work diligently and swiftly in order to persuade the jury. Some lawyers play dirty and try to get their client off of the hook even though they are guilty without a doubt. Even though the evidence is all there, the prosecution sometimes just can’t get the one last piece of the puzzle to make the case stick and lock the criminal up. Such is the case Orenthal James Simpson.
During the time that O.J was on trial for the murders of Nicole and Ronald, everyone who was following the hearing had a deep sense of fear and pity. They were fearing that the man they once adored and aspired to be like was actually capable of committing such an inconspicuous crime. Also, due to the accusations of the murder, the viewers were also feeling in the sense of pity, in both sadness and disappointment. The acts that O.J Simpson was accused of caused the audience to feel disappointed in his actions, as well as sadness towards his family. The accusations developed about O.J left people who didn’t even personally know him in tears. People were so sad about his downfall. The accusation led to the fact that O.J left his family with no mother and technically no father, as he’d be spending time in prison. Furthermore, since he was found not guilty, there was a large part of the audience that felt a sense of release and emotion, and some felt bad that he was ever accused of this, but rather he just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Due to the fact that O.J and Nicole were separated for a couple years before she died, Nicole had made new friendships, and there was no proof that someone new that she met could have caused this crime and tried to frame Simpson, due to his past accused abuse
After a lengthy two hundred and fifty-two-day trial “not guilty” were the words that left the world in shock. O.J Simpson was your typical golden boy. He had it all, the nice car, the football career, and his kids. Unfortunately, this all came to an end when two bodies came to be spotted deceased in Nicole Browns front yard and was a gruesome sight. O. J’s ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman both found with brutal stab marks. Unfortunately, all his glory days now brought to an end, he went from playing on the field to begging for his freedom when becoming the main suspect of their murders. Since this trial has not only altered the way Americans viewed celebrities, but it also racially divided society,
Murder is defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary as “the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought.” Homicide is a terrifying and troublesome topic to discuss among people, but it is a harsh reality of living in the real world. Many notorious murderers have been introduced within the past few decades, but some of the most notorious murderers in the United States have been John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer. While John Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer have very diverse backgrounds and killing techniques from each other, they are still both cold-blooded murderers.
On June 13, 1994, Nicole Brown, ex-wife of O.J. Simpson, was found murdered alongside Ronald Goldman (Dershowitz 19). Chapter one of Reasonable Doubts describes how many people jumped to the conclusion that O.J. carried out the murders. Incriminating evidence emerged that more than pointed to Simpson’s guilt (Dershowitz 21). Soon enough, media reports claimed that Simpson would be charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Simpson’s reluctance to be peacefully taken into custody was illustrated by his famous Los Angeles free-way chase that ended in his eventual surrender (Dershowitz 23). Dershowitz chose to join the defense team when offered the opportunity, claiming that the case could greatly educate people, especially his Harvard law students, on...
On June 12,1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were murdered. Their bodies were discovered outside Nicole Simpson's condominium. Nicole Simpson was the estranged wife of the famous football player and T.V. star O.J. Simpson.
Taking the life of another person is one of the worst infractions of the law to commit. The Bureau of Justice defines serial killing as “[involving] the killing of several victims in three or more separate events” (“Michigan” 1). Serial killers often commit extremely violent crimes; they usually become infamous for these crimes. The first recorded serial killers are probably Jack the Ripper in 1888 and Fritz Haarmann in 1924 (“Michigan” 1). Jack the Ripper is also one of the most well-known criminals, almost everyone knows who he is or has at least heard of him. Most people know what he is famous for and associate him with being a bad person. Serial killers are typically sadistic and sociopathic, meaning that they are unable to feel empathy for people who are suffering (“Michigan” 1). Whimsical sociopaths who have sadistic tendencies are very dangerous. They inflict pain because they do not care that someone else is suffering, they only care that it makes t...
The evidence discovered during the investigation suggested to the police that OJ Simpson may have had something to do with this murder and they obtained an arrest warrant. The investigators believed that they “knew” OJ Simpson committed the murders. His lawyers and him were informed of the arrest warrant and agreed to a specified time when OJ would turn himself into authorities. Investigators are later admonished, by the defense, on how they handled the crime scene.
Golda your example of OJ Simpson’s case is great when looked at from a couple of angles. First, it is an example of an individual that was trialed and found innocent by a group of his peers. Our legal system states that one needs to be proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. In this case, the jury found issues and doubts within the prosecution’s case and acquitted Mr. Simpson. Public opinion sides with the statement that the outcome of Mr. Simpson’s trial was ridiculous, and that justice was not served. However, the judge in the trial (Mr. Ito) instructed the jury on what reasonable doubt is and how it affected the verdict they were about to make. We can argue that the system let a guilty man get away with a crime. On the other hand, we can
Did OJ Simpson really do it? This question has a lot of controversy. Before OJ Simpson was arrested he was involved in a car chase with his friend Al Cowlings. Simpson was supposed to turn himself in but instead he kidnapped his friend in his truck and tried to flee threatening to kill himself while his friend drove. While this was happening Simpson’s lawyer read a letter to the media written by Simpson, "First everyone understand I had nothing to do with Nicole's murder. Don't feel sorry for me. I've had a great life.” (Bosco 17) This almost sounds like a suicide note. Why write a suicide note if you’re innocent? The media got involved with this slow car chase and they got some of Simpsons friends to talk him into turning himself in. This car chase and everything involved was not brought up at all during the trial. Fleeing and threatening to kill himself seemed like a desperate act of guilt.
Due to the following convincing evidences it is cleared beyond all reasonable doubts that Mr. Simpson should have been found guilty of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, and Goldman’s brother Ron in 1995. The 9-1-1 call and history of Simpson’s violence directed at Nicole Brown. Hair Evidence: 1) Hair consistent with that of Simpson found on cap at Bundy residence. 2) Hair consistent with that of Simpson found Ron Goldman’s short.
“My consuming lust was to experience their bodies. I viewed them as objects, as strangers. It is hard for me to believe a human being could have done what I've done”(Dahmer). Jeffrey Dahmer is notably one of the most infamous serial killers in the United States. Along with seventeen murders under his belt, he was also a pedophile, cannibal and necrophiliac.
