He tortured and killed thirty-three young boys between 1972 and 1978 in Cook County, Illinois. He was executed by lethal injection, however this act of execution was wrong. John Wayne Gacy was born on March 17, 1942. He grew up in a working class neighborhood of Chicago. He was close to his mother, Mayrum, and sister, Karen. His father was a violent alcoholic, who beat Gacy frequently during his violent outbursts. Gacy loved his father despite his violent temper and homophobic nature. Throughout his childhood, Gacy strove to make his stern father proud of him, but seldom received his approval. This friction between father and son was constant throughout his childhood and adolescence. One of Gacy's earliest memories was of being beaten by his father at age four. He was beat when Gacy's wife gave birth to two children: a son named Michael was born in February 1966, followed by a daughter named Christine in March 1967. Gacy. Gacy himself later described this period of his life as "perfect", adding that he finally earned the long-sought approval of his father. On one occasion in July 1966, Gacy's parents visited him and his wife in Iowa during which, in a private talk with his father, Gacy Sr. apologized for the physical and mental abuse he had earlier inflicted upon his son throughout his childhood, before proudly informing him: "Son, I was wrong about you." In 1966, Gacy and his family moved to Waterloo, Iowa. Gacy's father in law owned 3 KFCs, and needed a manager. At 24 he began to learn the restaurant business. He worked 16 hour days. By the mid 1960s Gacy had made a name for himself. He was involved in politics he was a local civic leader.Even named man of the year. He was involved with democratic party politics. John was born on June 22, 1903 in the Oak Hill section of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the youngest of two children, his sister was Audrey Dillinger. His father was referred to as a harsh man who was very firm with his discipline. At the age of 4, his mother passed, resulting in Audrey caring for John until their father remarried in 1912. Throughout all of American history there have been those who are well known for committing what are classified as deviant or criminal acts. Most of those who are well known by the public for their actions have committed deeds seen as extremely controversial such as being cult leaders, gang or mafia members, terrorists, rapists, or killers. The lists of members for each topic is numerous, however, there are a certain few that are more prominent than others. One criminal that stands out when speaking of killers in particular is Gary Ridgway, or as he is better known, the Green River Killer. Gary Ridgway is the nation’s most abundant serial killer, with the highest murder rate in America’s history (Gibson).
John F. Kennedy, of Irish decent, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29,1917. He entered the Navy, after graduation from Harvard in 1940. In 1946, home from World War II, Kennedy became a Democratic Congressman and in 1953, he joined the Senate. A "privileged aristocrat," his father's wealth and influence contributed largely to Kennedy's political career. 1 John's father, Joseph Kennedy was a self-made millionaire. "In Joseph's political career, he accompanied President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his New Deal, as the chairman of the new Securities and Exchange Commission. Fitzgerald, Mayor of Boston. John's paternal grandfather, Patrick J. Kennedy, had served in the Massachusetts Senate.
Gacy would use his contracting business to attract young men eager for work, many of whom were subjected to rape. Thirty-three of who lost their lives.
The General had some very strong parental guidance while growing up. His parents lived their lives with dignity and respect for all of those around them, these values were adopted and used throughout the Generals career. The parents were working class Jamaican immigrants who lived in the South Bronx, New York City. The parents worked hard and demanded that their children attend college.

John Wayne Gacy had two sisters, Joanne and Karen and had a difficult relationship with his father. His father was an auto repair machanic and World War I veteran (Jones, 2012). Whenever his father came home from work, he would go to the basement and drink. His father was an alcoholic and used physical punishment on all of his children (Jones, 2012). He would even beat the children with a razor strap if they misbehaved (Sullivan, 2013). Gacy’s mother tried her best to protect the children, but Gacy’s father physically assaulted her as well (Jones, 2012). Additionally,
John H. Johnson was born January 19, 1918 in rural Arkansas City, Arkansas. His parents were Leroy Johnson and Gertrude Jenkins Johnson. His father was killed in a sawmill accident when little John was eight years old. He attended the community's overcrowded, segregated elementary school. In the early 1930s, there was no public high school for African-Americans in Arkansas. His mother heard of better opportunities for African-Americans in Chicago and saved her meager earnings as a washerwoman and a cook and for years until she could afford to move her family to Chicago. This resulted in them becoming a part of the African-American Great Migration of 1933. There, Johnson was exposed to something he never knew existed, middle class black people.

On July 5, 1978, Robert Harris took the life of two innocent teenage boys that were just trying to enjoy their burgers in a car. Robert, 25 premeditated the ending to these innocent teens by stealing and then driving the car into a canyon where he repeated shot the boys as they tried to escape from this monster. On top of everything that Robert did to these boys, the most sickening part is when he took their burgers and laughed about the murder well eating it. He faced an abusive childhood and had many conflicts over his sexuality. He and his siblings grew up under their Danish and Polish parents, their father was drunk a lot and beat the kids on multiple occasions if they had misbehaved; the man also physically assaulted the children's parents as well. John suffered more struggles at school, not allowed to play with the other kids because of a congenital heart condition. He later realized that he was attracted to men, and experienced great turmoil over his sexuality. When he was a young boy he was sexaully assulted by a family friend. Gacy was a high school dropout, in the 1960s he became a fast food chain manager and became a self-made building contractor. He was also a clown performer for children's parties during this time, later to be known as the Killer Clown. Gacy married and was divorced twice in his life, along with one biological children and two stepchildren. In 1964, Gacy married Marilyn Myers, he worked for her in laws in Iowa at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, together they had one son. After rumors of a sexual assault made by Gacy on a young teenage boy, Marilyn divorced Gacy and left with her son. Carole Hoff was Gacy second wife, they were married on June 1, 1972. Dorothy ran a newspaper for five years before she got married and became a housewife after marriage. Powell reportedly got angry and violent upon discovering the child 's potty training accident, as he had several times since collecting the boys from their mother’s home, and struck the boy hard onto the tile floor in the bathroom (Larimer, 2015). Land reported hearing his head hit the tile floor (Larimer, 2015). She also mentioned that the young boy was reporting he was “tired” and that he began acting different from his usual self after the incident (Larimer, 2015).
