Have you ever been lonely, depressed and ice-cream-eating-tear-dripping single? Then you should try online dating. The number of single people in the U.S. is 54,250,000 (17% of Americans are single) but, 49,250,000 of those single people have participated in online dating. That is almost 91% of all single people in the United States and 15% of all Americans as a whole, in the U.S., use online dating today. The history of online dating, how they were back in 1996-2006 vs. how online dating is 2007-present and how online dating can go so wrong and how it can go so right, are all ways to analysis change of online dating in 1996-2016.

This movie is about two business rivals that anonymously flirt online they eventually fall in love and meet only to see it is their competitor then later realize they both missed the person that they got to know via. email, meet again and start to form in offline relationship. To return back to the point, this movies purpose was to the word out about internet dating, after many more people started to uses it to meet strangers. Even though the numbers got bigger it was still nowhere near where it is today, 91% of all single people in the U.S. use online dating. Many people today use these dating apps for one night stands, and others use it as a chance to find “The One” before it’s too late. The online dating industry makes approximately $1,749,000,000 annually. People today use online dating as a means to put themselves out there and that way that don’t have to deal with the face-to-face until they are ready.
