A Book club can help you communicate with others who have the same interest and it is an opportunity to meet new people. Motivation is what really keeps us on our toe, which is why we need to help motivate our youth to read more. Reading can help someone built their confidence. I think that the literature circles let me see the other people in my groups point of view. It have really prepared me to understand and read the book.
Adolescent literature will always be challenged, as long as there are children in this world. This may be a hot topic to touch debate about whether which books are appropriate to be used in the academic environment. Though, the purpose of these debatable senses is to provide the best and proper education for young adults to maturity. Developing the best literature for young adults requires team work and trials that will improve the value of a text decided among parents, students, and teachers. Again, the selection of these adolescent literatures is to promote maturation that would prepare your kids and my kids for the reality and future situations in their lives.
The time restrictions that women face today in balancing both a profession and a personal life, poses as an adversity within the church ministries that are self-limiting to distinct audiences and times. For this purpose, women encounter obstacles when attempting to exercise one’s faith consistently, in gaining spiritual stability or support. Women feel a personal dissociation with their spirituality because they are only able to attend church or a ministry a few times a month. Therefore, the friendships and connections made slowly fade due to lack of consistency in being present. Furthermore, church ministry times transpire early or late within the day, coordinators assume women have open schedules all day, not taking into consideration the busy agendas that each person may have. While I believe every child is a reader, I do not believe every child will be enthralled with reading all the time. All students have the capability to read and enjoy reading, but just like any other hobby, interest will vary from student to student. The students in my classroom will be encouraged in their reading, be provided with choice, taught how books can take you into another world but, my students will not be forced to read. This paper will illustrate my philosophy of reading through the theories I relate to, the way I want to implement reading and writing curriculum, and the methods I will use motivate my students to read and help them become literate.
When I was in high school and had the opportunity to go abroad for a year, I had lots of doubt. I had my life planned, in one way or another. I was going to graduate high school, go to college, then medical school, then become a doctor. I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt that that is what I wanted to do. But then, God put this opportunity in my life that I hadn’t planned on. Granted, it wasn’t a decision like that of Esther. There was danger, sure, but more than that, there was the fear of failure and the worry that taking that opportunity would change my plans.
One positive element of reading is that it gives children the opportunity to develop their thoughts on books, which strengthens their cognitive development and encourages deeper thoughts.
