One day my mom told me we was going to spend a month at the beach. I was so excited to tell my sister, Sabrina the great news. Momma told us to start packing. Sabrina and I yelling through the walls, talking about what we was going to wear. The next day momma told us to put our bags in the car. Rushing and excited Sabrina and I hurried and packed our things in the car. Jumping in our seats. As I get the front seat because I always control the radio. We still have to wait for our momma. She always tells us to get ready and then we have to wait 6 hours for her. All Sabrina and I could think about was the bright sunny beaches and the warm sun on our skins. We both yelled “FINALLY”, momma was walking to the car. Our oversized smiles just looking …show more content…
Looking at all the different places to go swimming and all the restaurants. That’s all I could think about was food. We only stopped one time on the way up there. I told her I was going to be skin and bones. Momma said I would have to wait until dinner time. I just looked at her like Um no, I’m sure I cannot wait. Sabrina told me when mom and her was getting their nails done I could go get food. I couldn’t do anything but smile vastly. Sabrina looked at me and asked me where was we sleeping? I said she had to go ask mom that I wasn’t too sure. We walked to our mom and asked her where was we sleeping at? Momma having the smart mouth she has, she said we was sleeping outside and Sabrina was kind of excited. Momma said walking around we would be checking into the hotel soon. As we kept looking at places to eat and swim at we ran into a man named Check. Mom asked him if he could tell us about some of the beaches and restaurants around the area. Check said almost all of the beaches around the coast are great. You just got to look around and find the one you and your family likes the most. We said thank you so much and began to walk away. We then went to get our nails done. Sabrina couldn’t decide what color she wanted. Momma got white tips. Mine was bright pink with white flowers and blue waves. Sabrina just got white ones after spending 15 minutes looking at the same …show more content…
Sabrina was so excited to see where we was staying at and how big the room was going to be. Pulling up to the hotel a man came to take our bags . Sabrina and I looked at our mom and asked if he could do that. Mom said yes because its his job. So we gave the guy our bags. Walking into the hotel, it was beautiful. We as kids were speechless. Wasn’t sure what to say to our mom. I thought Sabrina was going to cry and I couldn’t do nothing but laugh at her. Momma and the guy who had our bags took us up to the room. Opening the door, my sister and I ran jumped on the bed. The bag boy as my sister called him left. Momma told us to put our clothes in the dresser and get ready for the beach. We both jumped up and put our stuff away and got dressed really fast. Off to the beach we go. Spending about an hour there, we went back to the room to eat. Letting my sister choose what she wanted. She finally decide to go to Golden Corral. I told her that we would take turns picking dinners over the month and maybe we could cook by the
After we got tired of the pool me and my family started to head to the beach. So as we walked we noticed an amazing shell so we went and picked it up and there was a snail inside of it. It jumped out of its shell at my dad and scared us to death. After that we set it back free in the ocean, the we went and played around in the amazing water. My mom and my grand ma went to go and get lunch from the beach side café. They had the best food on the beach, we all ate our lunch and were stuffed
On the way to camp Kangaroobie we went to Mr Mcguane’s farm. The year 5 bus broke down so we came late. When we got there, we walked around this little river skipping rocks and getting stuck in the mud. When we arrived at camp, went to our cabins, and I was with, Emily, Felicia, Sarah, Grace and Klara, we packed our bag and went for a walk down to the beach! It was really fun because we went across rivers and walked through the sand dunes! When we got there, we jumped off and slid down the sand
Before we decided to head off we had to make a list of things we were both going to examine upon entering the restaurants and when trying the
Papa was already ready, and we started to go into the wagon. When we started to move I was so excited. The ride took way longer then I thought it would so I started playing with the dirt on the wagon floor. By the time I looked up we were in Strawberry, I felt the excitement rushing up to my head. We were one of the first wagons there so we were in the front.
At the start of the afternoon, everybody just wished they were at the beach. By the end, all we could think about was how much fun we had playing board games. After Mom won for the hundredth time, we decided it was time for dinner. The smell of hotdogs and hamburgers floated throughout the house. Laughing, talking, more laughing, and even more talking echoed around us.
I have a lot of fond memories looking back on my childhood. My dad’s parents had a house on Granbury Lake; it was a kid’s paradise. I grew up fishing, which is my favorite thing to do, boating, water skiing, 4-wheeling, anything you could do outdoors we did it. My grandparents had a massive garden and rows of fruit trees that lined their properly. We would wake up early in the morning to help Pa Pa woke in the garden. Being from the city, we that this was the coolest thing ever. As a reward for our hard work, Na Na would treat us to a snack of fresh cherry tomatoes from the garden. Although, she would always call them little boy and little girl tomatoes. Night time was my favorite out at the lake because that’s when the fire flies would come out. Every evening around dusk we would get our mason jars, poke holes in the lids, and wait to spot the first lightning bug. We didn’t have to wait long until the whole night sky
When we arrived at the Best Western, everyone grabbed his/her suitcases, quickly tucking them into the rooms as the candy shop across the street drew us in like moths to a flame. Afterwards, we went back to our rooms, put on our bathing suits, and went for a late-night swim under the stars. It was so cold, but we did not mind it because we were having so much fun. Later we went back to our rooms and went to sleep. Our next day would surely be packed with action and adventure.
The next day i woke up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. On the kitchen there was a not from my mom saying that her dad and Alec had gone shopping for our trip out of town and there was a checklist for what i needed to pack. Most of it was just essential things like toothpaste and a toothbrush.
My side of the room is plain with five blank canvas sitting along my older sisters jewelry box and a crate of books and comics near my bed collecting dust. The door creaks open, and my mother's head pops through the door, her fading red hair turning pink blush in a bun, lips sucked in and eyebrows raised, we were about
It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
It was Tuesday and the day was draining away. I wanted to go buy new hair dye, but I knew it was too late. Careless, I got money from my piggy bank and asked my little sister Natalie to come along. I usually go out by myself but I decided to take her to feel more safe. Since my parents were not home yet I had to make this trip quick, so we took the bus.
so we all stayed in one huge group. The next morning I woke up and there was a smell of the forest and the cold crisp air. I ran to my mom, she was sitting down on a brown wooden crate. While she sat there I was in front of her asking” where is dad” and she responded back with an extremely sad voice “ he went to get us something to eat” as I waited in front of her I had a little black hat and I pulled it down so I covered my whole face from the cold
The dark, black sky was covered with a million bright shining stars. The moon shimmered above a small town in the suburbs of London. The gentle wind swept past the bare trees and danced with the leaves below it, creating a colourful array of orange, yellow, red and brown. Across the street, a light was on in a small house where a tall, dark haired woman stood, talking to her two children Nicola and Erin. While she was tucking them in Erin asked, “Mummy, will you tell us a story please?” “I’m sorry but its time to go to sleep now,” she said. “Please mummy,” begged Nicola “Okay but only one story,” she replied “This story is about how I got lost when I was a young girl and how I met an incredible man. It all began when…”
The first night we were there, we got lost looking for the bed and breakfast we were staying at that night. We kept driving by it, but we couldn’t find a way to get to it so we kept driving right by it and then get lost looking for it again. After forty five minutes of looking for the bed and breakfast we finally found it. We were finally able to take showers and then we went out to dinner, we found this cute little pizza place where ...
In the morning we all ate breakfast, then got to work. We got my bed out of my room so we could put a bunk bed in my room. So we could have an bunk bed in my room and my sisters room.
