Art Critique The piece of artwork that I am critiquing is called Omega Burn. Omega Burn was created by Margaret Schnebly Hodge. This piece of artwork can be found at Northwest Florida State College. Omega Burn is an oil on a canvas piece of artwork. Omega Burn is 48 by 48 inches. I enjoyed looking at Omega Burn. I fancy all of the colors that she used in this piece of artwork. The main colors in this piece of artwork were blue, orange, white, and a little red. There were many ways of interprecating this piece of artwork. To me this piece of artwork is an abstract way of creating a beach. When I looked at this piece of artwork I saw the waves crashing onto the shore. The different shades of blue in this piece of artwork represent the ocean. The blue in this artwork looks full of life. The ocean looks playful and vast. I enjoy how she encourperated the white into this piece of artwork. The white color is in between the blue and the orange. When I Iooked at this piece of artwork I saw the white representing the shoreline of the sand that is being touched by the blue ocean. The white color flows into the blue ocean peacefully. The different shades of orange meant a couple of different things to me. When I looked at the picture in general I thought the orange was the sand from the beach. The darker circle of orange in the middle of the sand reminded me of an umbrella that was placed out in the middle of the beach. The straight lines of a red and orange color reminded me of track in the sand that come from children running into the ocean. When I saw the places where the orange is not the exact same shade in the sand, I interprecated that as the lighter color orange is where the sun is shining out and the darker color of orange in the sand is being blocked by clouds from the
