I’d like to start by saying thank you! Thank you for being with me, for so many years. You were my support. My haven. You were my hope, my hope for a better future; one better than a rusted bed frame, corrupt finances and cement walls all decorated with floor length iron bars. You were my freedom, you were what kept me alive.

I’m sure you understand, there were days where I just wanted out. Not probation out, death out. You don’t know Boggs, count yourself one of the lucky ones but it was during his time here with his group of sisters. These sisters were not biologically related women at all, these sisters were a ‘bull queer’ group, a bunch of grown men enjoying unconsented sex with other men. They were abusive. It's tremendously important that you understand how much I LOVE Louise. I'm telling you this because I made the mistake of not telling her every chance I could and now she's gone and she'll never know. I also don't want you starting a new believing I was guilty of something I'm not. I don't want your life to be defined by something I was wrongly accused of. You are not the product of my guilt. You don't deserve to feel like are. I want you to be confident in knowing that where you came from was love, be it not shown but love nonetheless. It's the kind of passion I should have shown her that had the potential to move mountains or to sail the seven seas. It’s the same type and amount of passion that also has the potential to turn our hopes into realities. I can’t tell you how to find such a passion, that’s now up to you. It's funny, even before the judge sentenced me I was trapped in my career, by my emotions and my inability to express them.
