1. brief definition of conflict According to the readings and the SI, conflict can be defined as an interactive state characterized by disagreement, or incompatibly through which the parties involved perceive incompatible or a threat to their needs, interests, values, or goals. Conflicts also occurred when individual or group experiences that they are negatively affected by anther individual or group. The SI Lectures helps me to discover that conflicts are not always negative as there are some positive views of conflicts. Therefore, the key is to learn new responses to situations that inevitably arise. Positive constructive conflict leads to supportive and trustful relationships, problem solving, relief the tension, increase personal motivation and satisfaction, increase commitment, as well as improve the quality of work. 2.
