High school and college student ethics have gotten worse because of the amount of homework students receive from their classes which makes students stress out. Students who are in honors or advanced placement classes are more prone to cheat because of all the work they have to do. Students who suffer from the amount of homework they recieve on a daily basis cheat because they want to finish their homework and take that pressure off their chest.
In the article Nurturing Ethical Collaboration, the author Alexis Brooke Redding explains why students cheat in courses. She stated,“students cheat because of academic pressure and the fear of failing a course”(3). Redding states students who are unprepared to take a test, often resort to cheating so they do not have to stress about dealing with the grade they are going to receive if they did not cheat. She also states students often feel the pressure of assignments that are time consuming and are due the next day for a huge chunk of points. She also explains the effects of the students negative behavior. Redding states “students who cheat in school expects they can cheat their way in life”(3).She explains students …show more content…

The article was called What can we learn from the Atlanta cheating scandal? Written by Andrew Saultz. In Saultz's article he and one of the other professors gave an anonymous survey on how many students cheated in the past month and how they cheated. He stated, “thirty-two percent of students admitted they had cheated and how they cheated”(1). In his article the students said they would take a picture of the test/or quiz and send them to all of their friends so they can study it. The students would also write on their arms, and hands of formulas and other things so they can use it on the test.
