Nursing research – According to Grove, Gray, and Burns (2015), Evidence-based practice evolves from the integration of the best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient’s needs and values.
Taking this course made me realize how important nursing research and EBP are to the profession. The patient truly benefits from this practice; it improves outcomes for patients, providers, and healthcare agencies. It enables us to provide much more intelligent and beneficial service to patients and families. Nursing research helps expand nursing practice. It helps us improve our nursing knowledge. Research can help improve our nursing practicing abilities. And most important it helps nurses make proper decisions and improve outcomes.
