Case Study Today, there are many issues that hinder the quality of healthcare. Studies show that most people reported unfavorable evaluations of seeking medical care due to factors related to physicians, health care organizations, and similar affective concerns. Also, many participants stated that they do not seek medical care due to traditional barriers such as high costs, inability to obtain health insurance, and time constraints (Taber, Leyva, & Persoskie, 2015). In accordance with one of their main principles to redesign primary care services and structures, organizations are implementing new ways of delivering care. Using new methods allows organizations to build on and improve the quality of old methods (McCarthy & Klein, 2010). For example, the Center of Global Initiatives is studying a way to improve healthcare though Psychology. This relates to the topic of cultural competency mentioned earlier because they believe that psychologists are better equipped to handle cultural situations than other most other health professionals. Also, having knowledge of the human mind and emotions will aid medical professionals in handling stressful medical situations. There are always going to be aspects like customer service or procedural changes that can be done to improve quality of care. I believe that this project will make healthcare more open and accessible to all populations. In my practice, I hope to become a leader that is efficient yet maintains good relations with patients. When a person lives in one country their whole life, that person may not realize how different the life they live is from someone in a foreign country. If a person is going to receive treatment from someone with a different cultural background, they should be expected to get treatment to respects their own culture. According to the Nurse’s notes states that static pulmonary nodules enlarged mediastinal right axillary lymph node. Mr. Brown was supported to his appointment with Dr. Ramani on 02/27/17 at 9:30 am. Mr. Brown met with his Psychiatrist Dr. Capiro on 02/26/17. Dr. Capiro provided Mr. Brown a direct service at the Residential Program. The service included a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication review and an assessment of his needs. The review and assessment determined that medications were appropriate and consistent with his current health conditions.
