The career that I want to successfully accomplish is to become a maternal/child health and Neonatal Nurse. The colleges that I am looking at are Northwest Community College that will eventually be the Univerity of Wyoming. I do want to go to a community college before going to a University. I order to become a maternal child nurse, I have to get my degree in nursing first. I want to take online classes while I am working at a hospital/nursing home. Going to Northwestern College, I would have to take medical terminology and nurse assistant classes to proceed in what I am trying to accomplish. In the class, Medical Terminology, you learn the knowledge of vocabulary of all the medical words and terms. In the Nurse Assistant class, you learn the skill in being a nurse. …show more content…

There is also Practical Nursing that I could take to get closer to becoming a Maternal Nurse. Some of the required classes would be, English 1010, Math 1000, Zoo 1010, and Zoo 1020. Also, there are 9 core classes that I need to take for Practical Nursing. There are 15 credits for the required classes, and 33 credits for the required classes, and 33 credits for the core classes. The totals 48 needed credits for becoming a Practical Nurse. There is an opportunity for a double major. The double major would be terminology and nursing. In order to become a nurse I would have to do labs and procedures to understand what I am doing, and how to do what I am learning. I physically don’t think someone could become a nurse without actually doing the different procedures in real life, whether this is on actual humans or just
