I worry very well; actually I'm an expert at worrying. I am going to guide you through the complicated process of worrying. I’m not condoning being a worrisome person, but I do understand that worrying is a part of human nature and is a continual cycle for most people. Most people already know how to worry so most of this will be common knowledge.
When it comes to worrying, you must first find something that seems difficult and then stress about it. This part is very easy; it is all too simple to find something to worry about. All you must do is think of something you find difficult in the present or in the near future, things such as: a test, a relationship, or the future itself. Anything can become something to worry about. Something trivial

This adds on to the stress you previously had. Make the situation bigger than it already is. Make a mountain out of a mole hill and totally exaggerate the issue. When you successfully make things worse, you are on the right path.
Then, find people to worry with, people who feed your fear and frustration. Find those who are also worried about the same things. When you are with these people, you can talk with one another and share fears. Feeding off one another, this wonderfully causes more worry. Now that you have other people to worry with, make sure you tell yourself, “It's really not that bad." Say this over and over, making sure you truly understand. Once you begin to think you are done worrying, you may begin to realize that all the worrying you were doing was foolish. But suddenly a thought about how daunting of a task your situation is comes to mind, and you may begin to hyperventilate a few moments after “you were done worrying”. Now, to really make things better, try letting the worry simmer a few days. Keep on with everyday life, but keep that worry in the back of your mind to really make things fun. Basically let the thoughts of fear fester in your subconscious. Continue to do the everyday routine you can occasionally let your mind drift between happy thoughts and hysteria. Once you begin to get gray hairs proceed to rip them out one by one, and remember each gray hair represents one day worth of excruciating
When I really worry about something, I don't just fool around. I even have to go to the bathroom when I worry about something. Only, I don't go. I'm too worried to go. I don't want to interrupt my worrying to go. ~J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye, Chapter 6
According to Professor Benjamin Lahey “one effective way of dealing with stress is to remove or to reduce the source of stress from our lives” (564). In the article he mentions
For example, this past summer was very stressful, but because of running I was able to get through it. Later in the summer I was working from nine in the morning, to five in the afternoon, at a job I did not enjoy. Furthermore, I also had to plan my Eagle Scout Project with people that barely knew how to work their phones. I had offered to design and create a path behind the Presbyterian Church, but this was easier said than done. As if these two things weren’t stressful
After reading the story, “What Should You Worry About?”, by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, really inspired me to think more about the worries and the non-worries. Specifically, worries about; global warming, animal attacks, hackers, murders, rapist, theft, and “unsolvable problems”. Levitt and Dubner clarify the story from giving good points, Which made me think, should I be worried about dangerous animals, when I go out to remote areas? Shall I be concerned about global warming getting to it’s ultimate points, being a victim of robbery or identity-theft or even being murdered by a friend, is a worry?
Do you know what it feels like to have your palms sweat, throat close up, and your fingers tremble? This is the everyday life of someone who lives with anxiety. As soon as I wake up in the morning, I hear my brain freaking out about the day ahead of me. What do I eat for breakfast? What do I do first when I get home from school? What happens if I get in a car crash on my way to school? A million thoughts at one time racing through my head. I never have the time to process all of them. Most mornings, I lay in my bed and have to take a few deep breaths to begin my hectic but not so hectic day. That’s just the beginning. It’s safe to say that I feel that I 'm an anxious person and that I have an anxiety disorder.
“You need to relax.” This phrase is one that most individuals hear weekly, and sometimes daily. It is hard to deal with situations that put a mental strain on the body, such as problems in a relationship, at work, or at home. In order to try and adapt to the situation, the body goes into panic mode. If the emotions that are associated with these occurrences remain constant, they can begin to impact physical health as well as mental health. The physical symptoms put an even greater strain on mental health because the individual begins to worry about them. The individual becomes lost in a vicious cycle.
Stress is a normal part of everyday life. From what happens to you and around you, plus the many things that one does to themselves put stress on the body. The common causes of stress that most people encounter are problems in personal relationships, starting a new job, financial situations, daily hassles, illnesses and legal problems (webmd.com). When the body encounters long periods of stress like those our body begins to give off warning signs that something is not right. When we encounter these warnings they shouldn’t be ignored. Our body is telling us that we need to take it down a notch and give
Anxiety can generate many health issues on us physically and mentally. Anxiety may cause many of us to feel lightheaded and even get headaches. Letting go of anxiety can be challenging. Everybody should have at least one hobby that helps with stress and anxiety. Running while listening to music helps me reduce stress or anxiety. On the other hand, we get stressed and anxious because we keep our minds busy creating a list of things that need to be accomplished, which prevents us from taking a chance to breath. It is wise and highly recommended to take some time throughout the day to reflect or
I think that there are a lot of people out there who have anxiety/worry regarding
Your mind has the greatest influence towards stress so when you learn how to change your expectations and attitude towards pressuring situations, you can defeat stress easily. Stay positive. When you are caught in a bad traffic, don’t you think it’s a good time to listen to your favorite music? Instead of letting those eyebrows collide in worrying, try to calm yourself by changing the way you think about the situation.
Find healthy ways to cope with stress, such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with people you care about.
Many people are worried as to how to achieve positive thinking? They can definitely resolve to relaxation techniques. Sitting quietly to oneself with deep breathing can also give you marvelous results. It is said that the best relaxation can be obtained by thinking of the worst. It does not mean that you should think worse but it means that just creep out of the sadness by attributing to the maximum damage. Once you are convinced of your subtle nature, you will automatically reduce blaming yourself for all the happenings. When you do not have control over the results, why worry about the things that do
Many people feel apprehensive and miserable every now and then, but when does it take over their whole lives? Losing a loved one, doing poorly in school or work, being bullied and other hardships might lead a person to feel sad, lonely, scared, nervous and/or anxious. Some people experience this on an everyday basis, sometimes even or no reason at all. Those people might have an anxiety disorder, depression, or both. It is highly likely for someone with an anxiety disorder to also be suffering from depression, or the other way around. 50% of those diagnosed with depression are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
The third thing is to talk it out with your friends or family. Your family and friends can give you a different perspective on things when you talk to them about what is stressing you out.
Fear can have such a powerful grasp on my mind that it will cause me to be consumed with it. Understand that I have the power to control my thoughts. Memorize encouraging quote and when the feelings of fear creep into my mind, I repeat this over and over until it becomes the guiding thought. When I leverage the power of shutting down undesirable thoughts with optimistic statement, I create a gate of opportunity to my self to break out of that dreaded Series of Fear.
