Remember the Holocaust? Wiesel persuades how people should never forget the devastating things that happened during the Holocaust so that it should never be repeated. In the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel, Elie wants us to remember how terrible the Holocaust was, so we never let it happen again. He tells his own story of surviving the Holocaust to show us just how bad the Holocaust was. Wiesel believes that if we forget what happened, it could happen again. Throughout his memoir, he shows us why it's so important to remember and learn from the past. The Memoir Night, by Elie Weisel, was written to share his experiences in the Holocaust so they should never be forgotten. “‘ I am a witness she said,’ ‘ and the world never, ever forget the biggest crime against humanity.’” (Edwards 2). Lily is showing in this quote the awful things that went on in the Holocaust and it was the biggest “crime against humanity” so it should never be something that is forgotten. Finally, in the Article ‘At 92,’ there are many similarities between this article and the Memoir ‘Night’ by Elie Wiesel. A similarity is that during both of these Genocide, both groups of people were getting split apart from their loved ones. “Yoshinaga was worried that she would be separated from her boyfriend,” (Migaki 1) This shows that during Japanese Pearl Harbour they were getting split up from their loved ones just like in the Holocaust they were getting split apart.
