In the Holocaust, there were things that happened that were poignant. Elie Wiesel has made a book that showed things that happened during the holocaust. In the book, Night, there are quotes that are poignant and significant. The first quote was about Eliezer’s faith, “…Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes…” (Wiesel 34). This quote shows how Eliezer is losing his faith. He is losing it because no one can stop the burning of innocent Jews, not even his God. It also shows how he is losing hope and doesn’t want to live anymore.
