The adverse effects of global warming have become more and more apparent since the beginning of the 20th century, with more hurricanes and tropical storms that have caused massive destruction in different areas around the world.There is also a big increase in animal species that are losing their habitats and going extinct, and an increasing death percentage of people dieing due to heat conditions. It all started in 1896 when a swedish scientist by the name of Svante Arrhenius claimed to be the first men to discover that fossil fuel combustion may eventually result in enhanced global warming. I chose this topic because it’s a problem that has been going on around us all for a good significant amount of time and it has a good potential to cause effects that can directly affect our current population of the 21st century. My expectations as i went into research over my chosen topic was to find a lot of useful information information related to my topic so that it could directly benefit towards my research paper and the amount of information that was being put into it. I later came to find out that there is tons of information over global warming as i initially thought that i would encounter but most of it doesn’t seem to relate to my topic directly as i thought it would at first so therefore it is not of much use to me causing me to give in extra time into the research to find good credible information over my topic on not so broad of a …show more content…
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it comes from human induced activities such as the burning of fossil fuels. Humans induce greenhouse gases into our atmosphere on a daily basis while some knowing and others unaware. For example everyone that owns a moving automobile or just about anything with an engine on it unless it’s a hybrid like the ones made to overcome global warming is releasing carbon dioxide into the air every time that the engine is cranked on because it releases chemicals out of its exhaust system that go right into the atmosphere where they trap heat causing increments in temperature when combined as a whole. There are scientists who are committed to researching and figuring out the weight of the carbon and in what phase of the atmosphere it accumulates exactly and while human role is at its peak they have discovered that there has been a clear increase in the type of carbon molecule that comes directly from the burning of the fossil fuels that we know as oil,coal and gas. But some of the recent scientific researches done not only show increases in levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, they also bring to light evidence that proof’s that the expanding accumulation of carbon dioxide in the troposphere is causing its boundary shared with the stratosphere to expand into higher levels causing the lower level of the atmosphere which is the troposphere to trap most of the heat in the
