My definition of nature is every living thing other than human that we see around us whether is small or big, colorful or green because we as a human benefit from every plant around us. There are some other definitions of nature, such as according to the dictionary of Cambridge “nature is all the animals and plants in the world and all the features, forces, and processes that exist or happen independently of people, such as the weather, the sea, mountains, reproduction, and growth”. Another definition for your dictionary website is “the natural Earth and the things on it, or the essence of a person or thing. The trees, forests, birds and animals are all an example of nature. If someone is inherently evil, this is an example of a person who …show more content…
Some of the examples that I have learned in this class are that the more I have nature around me; I live a healthy life. I also learned that taking some time off your work and enjoying a quality time in the nature would reduce my stress and lead me to a better job performance. One of the experiences that I did for this class is, I went to the County Memorial park a few weeks ago with my friends to spend some time together and enjoy the nice weather. We prepared to cook a delicious barbecue so, I went out to buy what we need for the barbecue. The weather was so nice: warm and cloudy. We went to the park at 1:00 pm and we left at 5:00 pm. We choose a cabinet close to the water (lake). The place was so quiet. We can hear the sound of the water and we can see the birds flying and moving around. This experience reminded me of the times I had with my family back home. We used to go to the park all the time. It was one these times that you never think of anything but enjoying the moment. We finished eating, then, we started relaxing and taking pictures of the nature around us; from the tree to the water over the flying birds. We had an amazing time. We stayed there all afternoon. I was inspired by the view of the sunset reflecting on the water and the breeze that sways trees and the winds that blow your mind away. It was without any doubt time well invested. It gave me the relaxation and the energy I needed to do …show more content…
According to Wellness mama website “A 2009 study found that the closer someone lived to a green space or nature area, the healthier that person was likely to be. In fact, those who lived close to a park, nature preserves or wooded areas were less likely to suffer from anxiety or depression". I lived in place that surrounded with nature. My family home has a big backyard, we have a Limon, mango, barriers tree. We usually sit in the backyard at 7:00 pm. We drink Arabic coffee and talk to each other. Also, I usually study out there because it quieter and better than my room. It makes me feel better and relax. After that, we moved to another city, and live in the apartment. They are no nature place to sit or study on it. We feel there is something wrong. It is a big different happened in our life. We missed that place, not because our memories there, but because there are no fresh air, no nature that makes us feel better, no place that we can play or swim. We know that time how the nature is important in our life. I advise everyone to invest the nature, by walking, relaxing, and clearing the head because we can 't imagine the benefits of the nature until we lose
nature is not as in the plant and tree kind of nature, but on the nature of man at a
Nature, in its essence, is the cause/effect relationship offered to things with ascertainable objectivity, occurring without cause. From this we can logically state that the nature of something (something being an object with "thinghood", as humorously described in class) is its beginning, purpose and stereo-type.
Over the course of this class I feel like I have become a much better writer. When I go back and look at some of my Journal entries and assignments that I did at the beginning of the semester, I can’t help but tense up at some of the things I wrote. Sometimes the things I was writing didn’t flow well, or I might have even have missed glaring grammar mistakes.
... as disgusting. It is up to our perception. What does nature represent for you? Can you tell me that it has no affect over you? Nature is the power that allows us to continue on.
Richard Louv, the author of, “Last Child in the Woods: Saving our children from nature deficit-disorder,” talks about nature and its benefits to a healthy development. Time Experiencing with nature allows people to have healthy development since it promotes creativity and imagination. It does not take more than a couple of steps outside to see nature. It is all around us. It can even be right outside our window. Leaving the blinds open can bring peace of mind, just by viewing it. As people experience time with nature, no matter the age, they develop greater creativity and imagination. It is like people today fear nature.
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.
Nature by its very definition is the genetic makeup of that person, the nature of someone may refer to their attitude or behavioral
What is nature? Nature is the part that is genetic inheritance and biological factors. The biological is focusing mainly on what our hormonal changes are and what is going on with our neurochemicals in our body for explanation why we behave the way we don’t. We are born with things that can 't be changed such as hair color, eye, how tall we get, what kind of hair were going to have such as straight curls wavy etc. these are all things we have and can 't change
With more needs for nature experience and sustainable development in urban areas, increasing importance has been attached to urban open spaces since they play a crucial role to support the ecology system and form a natural network in the cities (Chiesura, 2004; Tzoulas et al., 2007). Urban open spaces include plazas, parks, campus, greenways and other green spaces. They serve as islands of nature, enriching urban landscapes, adjusting the microclimate, promoting biodiversity and providing habitats for other species (Chiesura, 2004; Do, Kim, Kim, & Joo, 2014; Morimoto, 2011). Apart from these benefits, they also show a great impact on urban dwellers’ health, since open spaces offer places for outdoor activities and opportunities for contact with nature (Chiesura, 2004). Tyrväinen et al. (2014) indicated that even short-term visits to urban green spaces have positive psychological and physiological effects on perceived stress relief. People were attracted to urban open spaces for physical activities, social interactions, and a relief from daily life, which benefit their mental and physical health (Thwaites, Helleur, & Simkins, 2005). A large epidemiological study in Britain looked at mortality and morbidity among three income levels in relation to urban residents’ access to green open space (Mitchell & Popham,
The image of a pastor entering the pulpit from among the pews in the sanctuary described by Long is one that resonates with me, because it is genuinely where I am entering from. Perhaps it is to be expected when someone answers the call to ministry later in life, but I approach homiletics as a member of the body of Christ first and foremost. Experience as a member of the congregation and a Member in Discernment have taught me that the pastor has many responsibilities, but good, solid preaching is of the greatest import.
Most of us are aware that spending time in nature is good for us. Not so many, however, can say exactly why this is the case. Although understanding the exact reasons why the natural world can positively influence your general well-being isn’t going to increase the benefit, it might just inspire you to get out there and spend more time in our planet’s very own, natural quality-of-life-enhancer - nature itself. Below, we’ve listed five of these reasons in hope of doing just that…
The fact that many people don’t necessarily know the dangers of our environment through pollution is thrilling. Watching the films A civil Action, Tapped and Erin Brockovich raises attention to how our environment is being effected on many circumstances, with addition to companies not caring because how big the number is when they receive their income. On EPA.gov there are many issues regarding the plots in each of the three films. Including A Civil Action and the dumping of hazardous materials into water, Tapped and the impact water bottles have toward pollution and Erin Brockovich, where the pollution causing innocent people to become ill. Another idea to bring into perspective is the trail us humans leave behind as we move on. This can be seen in the film The Human Footprint and on World Wild Life’s website.
Two courses that I feel made the biggest impact on me through this course were week 5 of PEDG 5372 Assessment Data to Guide Instructional Decisions and week 5 of PEDG 5373 Student Expectations and Motivations. Both of these courses were taken at the beginning of this journey to complete my Master’s program and both were taken in the summer before my second year teaching. I learned so much more from these courses than I did during my student teaching and my first year teaching combined. I feel that teachers are expected to hit the floor running and there is no true “training period” or period of transition, you just have to know what you know and learn as you go. These courses helped me to be more focused and knowledgeable about data and how to use it effectively and also about what motivates students and
February 11th, 1996, in the localized town of Spencer, West Virginia, a baby girl was brought into this world. Unaware of how cruel and vindictive the world truly is, she started her journey. Twenty-years later, here I am still trying to apprehend where I fit into this life. My family is of ample size, and most would consider us in the lower class. Throughout my adolescent years, my family relocated quite frequently. Over several years, I finally got interested in our history and government; Only then was I able to review the events in my short time here and genuinely materialize the effects they had on me.
My parents arrived in the United States hoping for a better future not for themselves, but for the baby they carried in their arms. We would often move from relatives ' houses since my parents couldn’t afford renting an apartment themselves. We were fortunate enough to have caring relatives who didn 't mind us living with them since they knew the hardships we were going through. I grew up in a household where only Spanish was spoken given that both my parents didn’t speak any English at all. When I was in kindergarten, my teacher was afraid that I would be behind the rest of my classmates, given that I only spoke Spanish fluently. I was fortunate to receive free tutoring from my kindergarten teacher. We would often read books together until
