Braden, Keegan, and I got on the chairlift to go to the top of the main hill, even though it was snowing very heavily. The snow felt like a bunch of pillows because it was all new powder, so it didn’t hurt if you fell. It was our first time snowboarding, so we were at an easy resort. Although I have experience with skiing, chair lifts, and snow, I had never snowboarded, so I was still a little nervous. I pulled down my face mask below my chin to ask if they were, too.
“Am I the only one who is a little spooked?” I uttered, breaking the silence on the icy cold chairlift.
“Nope, you aren’t. I’m a bit nervous, too,” Braden agreed. “Yep, I’m pretty nervous,” Keegan responded with terror in his eyes, looking down below at the mountainside that looked extremely steep from our angle. “But I’m also pretty hyped. This is going to be so fun!” …show more content…

I could tell that Braden was very excited and wanted to get to the top of the slope more than anything else. The whole entire ride up he was staring at the end of the chairlift. Finally, we made it to the top. We got off with a bit of difficulty. First off, Keegan fell onto his knees, blocking Braden and me from the clear path that led to a vacant space in the snow. Secondly, I wasn’t very nimble or agile on the snowboard yet, so I was hit by the chairlift, causing me to fall, too. Lastly, Braden was also on the ground after accidentally speeding straight into someone.
After we regrouped, we started down the hill. At first, we were all going pretty slow, but after we did this run a couple of times we started accelerating, speeding up on every run. Braden flew down the hill, falling every ten seconds, while Keegan and I crept up right behind him, so we could laugh at him collapsing harshly. He looked like an uncontrollable rocket, blasting down the hill. Each time Braden fell, he would stand up, covered in white
