As I turned my tassel from right to left, an overwhelming sensation of joy shot through my body. I finally did it, I finally completed those 4 daunting yet unique years of high school. Not only did I complete high school successfully, I also graduated in the top 10% of my class. Now with each passing day I countdown to when I'll start the next chapter in my life. I know this chapter of my life will be filled with many different emotions and hardships. I've heard from many that college life is no walk in the park however, I've overcome adversity time and time again to make it to where I am today.
My freshman year of highschool, I underestimated the advice of those who came before me. Those 5 words "Take your freshman year serious" went in

The path to this profession is very difficult as there are only 30 positions available. However, I believe that with my education from Georgia Southern University I will be able to embark on a path that will enable me to achieve success. Becoming an NBA GM has always been one of my biggest dreams, I'm obsessed with business and sports so it's sort of like the best of both worlds. My ultimate goal is to become a general manager in the NBA. Being that I plan on pursuing this career around the age of 38, becoming a general manager may be unlikely as there are many people with more experience. Therefore if I'm not breaking barriers and setting records for becoming one of the youngest NBA executives in history, I would like to be the head of scouting, or some other head position in an NBA …show more content…
There are a few minor things we have to work on such as marketing, and different promotion strategies. Furthermore we are also working on branching out into different areas of the fashion industry. It has always been a major dream of mine to own my own clothing company. Recently I have been turning my childhood dream into reality. With the help of a few friends I have launched my own brand Aurväna Apparel. I've been working on my own clothing line with a couple of friends for almost a year now. It's my goal to have Aurväna Apparel in a couple of different stores before I even graduate. After I graduate however, I plan on opening my own storefront to not only house Aurväna Apparel but different brands as well. I also envision an expansion bringing Aurväna Apparel to many different states
...ssed with such skills to be successful, there is always time to improve both business and designing skills to become a successful fashion designer.
... fashion industry. I believe through all of their marketing tactics and great leadership they will continue to thrive. Although I am not a customer of the brand, I have found great interest in completing this product to explore and expand and broaden my fashion in the brand. The company has had consistent sales increase and if it continues to utilize its business plans wisely, I believe it will continue to increase.
Life is never easy, no matter how hard we try to short cut and escape the inevitable difficulties. After college is when life sets in, when work becomes a necessity and we all begin to find a place to settle down. People respond differently to different situations. Some of us embrace the freedom and the ability to earn money and spend money indiscriminately. Others crumple under the social pressures placed on us.
One of my future careers are being a NFL player (professional football player) I want to be this because it’s fun and you can hit and tackle people the responsibilities are show respect for team policies and understand your role. If you want to have a good work environment then you have to be on a good team or you have to be really good so you can buy a better work environment. If you want to play football you have to go to college for two or three years or maybe more. The average
Anxiety ran throughout my entire body the morning before my first class of college began. Not knowing what to expect of my professors, classmates, and campus scared me to death. I knew the comparison to senior year of high school and freshman year of college would be minute, but never did it occur to me how much more effort was need in college until that morning, of course. Effort wasn’t just needed inside of the classroom with homework and studying but also outside of it where we are encouraged to join clubs, get involved and find a job. Had I known the transformation would be so great, I’d have mentally prepared myself properly. It’s easy playing “grown-up” in high school when one doesn’t have to pay expensive tuitions, workout a
The career path I want to take is to be an athletic director at a high school, and coach high school football. I decided to take this path with my life because I feel its stress free and I can handle the work. Being an athletic director requires a lot of things like bachelor’s degree and being able to work with teenagers and children. I was also inspired by Coach Carr and what he has done at Edgewood Academy by building championship programs and turning boys into men. The questions I ask myself are. How much money can I make, how many years do I want to work in this field, where will I live, how much money will I make in the field of coaching, and the job description? In twenty years I hope to be athletic director of a high school somewhere
College is hard, scary, and stressful especially with children involved. I think it is a good thing I went to college when I did otherwise, I would be stuck in the same minimum wage job that I have had for the past year. It is going to be hard and stressful but the truth is that were all scared. It is just a matter of pushing myself into getting where I want to be. My main fear with college is mainly flunking out, it is scary but, it is also achievable. I thought to myself, “Hey, if my best friend can go to college then why I can I not”. There was three things that pushed me into going to college. Those are: getting a better job so I can spoil my children, continuing my education, and to be a role model for my children.
As a child I grew up playing football, and I’ve always had a passion for the game. After playing my final down, I knew that my days with the sport were not over. Football is a sport that molds boys into men. My dream is to become a football coach. My coaches had a very strong impact on my life and helped me evolve into the person I am today. By becoming a football coach I will have the ability to make an impact on my player’s life like my coaches did with mine. My biggest inspiration in becoming a football coach is Lou Holtz. Coach Holtz showed me that just because I am finished playing doesn’t mean that I can’t have a passion for the game. The way he carried himself and the passion he emitted helped me decide that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
From the moment I starting my educational path I knew four years wouldn’t be enough to fill me with all the dimensions of the fashion industry. This led me to make my decision to apply for the M.S. Global Fashion Enterprise degree. When asked how this program at Philadelphia University would benefit me, I will begin by giving a background on my previous education. I started my undergraduate degree at Buffalo State College in upstate New York pursuing a Bachelor degree in Fashion Merchandising. After being in the program for a year I was confident in knowing I needed a change. My journey changed drastically when I moved down to sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I transferred to the Art Institute under the same major. I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising come this June 2014. My experience at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale has uncovered my love of education and research.
I can almost remember that day like it was yesterday, I awoke like on any other school day. It was a gorgeous May morning, the rays of sun flittered through my miniblinds blinding me as if I hadn’t seen light in days. I sluggishly dragged my limp body out of my warm bed, retiring to the bathroom to perform my normal morning rituals shower, shave, brush my teeth, get dressed, do my hair, and all the other regulars. As I looked at myself while combing my hair, it hit me like a speeding express train, I was about to graduate. I couldn’t help but smile, but at the same time I felt like a part of me was drifting away. A tear came to my eye as I realized what was about to happen to me.
My experience working in Butik showroom was valuable in a way that it showed me for the first time what it is like working for the fashion industry at a professional level. I wanted to take full advantage of this event and make the most of it. I made a plan to evaluate my work performance every week, make a list of short-term goals, and bring everything together to see if it is helping me accomplish my long-term goals. What I do today can lead me to my future success, so taking a step back and taking a deeper look at what I am doing daily can help me evaluate myself and challenge myself more. After every week or when I finished up a project I would evaluate what I did, what I could have done differently, how I could improve myself and how is this helping me achieve my goals.
I do not expect to become a coach in the Hall of Fame, I mean that would be amazing, but I just want to be a coach to guide young people on the right path in a sport or in their life. One last thing that I would expect when coaching would be respect, because when there is mutual respect within the team this eliminates selfishness and controversy amongst athletes and coaches. I want my athletes to learn that sports is similar to life. Practice is for learning and fine tuning the material and the games are like the test or business task. Also I want my athletes to realize that culture trumps talent and strategy, and that this applies into life after sports are over.
My life has been full of so many events. I’ve lived through many hard times combatting my anxiety and depression, while having family problems, and trouble with many other areas in my life. School was a daily problem, and a problem that couldn’t really be avoided or fixed. I really hope that the rest of my life goes in this upward climb pattern that I am in right now, although I expect to have my ups and downs, but now I at least know that I am prepared for them.
My dream job in the future would be professional football player. I have loved the game of football since I was a little kid because it’s a good sport and you can tackle the player and catch and do anything in the sport as long as you follow the rules. The colleges that I’m looking forward to go to are UNC, Oregon, or Appalachian State.
Graduation: the last day that I would unwillingly set foot on the fields of Horizon High School. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest, and tried so hard to keep my feet moving one after the other in order to maintain my perfect stature. After the two hour wait of opening speeches, class songs, and the calling off of the five hundred plus names that were in front of me, it was finally my turn. As my row stood up and we walked towards the stage it had set in at last, this is it, I am done. My high school career ended on that night, but it didn’t close the book that is my life, it only started a new chapter, and with it came a whole slue of uncertainties.
