I can still remember the day that I arrive to Miami in 2014, I was going to Orlando and specifically to Disney World. I was planning this travel with months in advance and finally my dream was coming true. I traveled with Christian, who was a friend and colleague from my job at that time, and we arrived to the Miami airport at 1 am. We would never guess what was going to happen after we picked up the car that we rented in AVIS Company. I was the designated driver and that was the first time that I was going to drive an automatic car. I started to sweat and feel nervous about it, but when I turned on the engine I knew that I could do it. We rented the car with a GPS device. We didn’t have roaming or internet access in the U.S. because our …show more content…
We were stopping almost in every gas station in our way to Orlando asking for instructions. It was 3 am and we were lost without GPS, we couldn’t talk to our family to say that we arrived to the U.S., and we were frightened about the idea of missing our hotel reservations because we probably couldn’t find the hotel. After two more hours of driving, I started to fell asleep. Christian was worried about it and he asked me to stopped and rest for a while. At that point I wasn’t nervous, I was trying to drive as fast as I could in order to arrive to Orlando soon. I didn’t hear Christian when unconsciously I closed my eyes. One minute later, we were very close to a truck; I felt asleep again. I stopped in the next gas station and both of us grabbed some food and …show more content…
At times I felt mad, guilty, and also insecure. I was the one who did the car reservation and now we were facing all this problems. Besides, Christian was always keeping faith and being positive about the experience; even when I got the wrong detour, or when instead of taking the exit 36 I took exit 35. We felt tired, hungry, and concerned all the way to Orlando, and after almost eight hours of driving, we finally arrived. Then, we tried to find the hotel and that took as three more hours. We were overexcited when we arrived to the hotel and finally we could take some rest in a comfortable place, call our families, and buy the tickets to the parks. We were pleased with the fact that we were not going to spend more hours in the car for that
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
After returning from the first hiking trail of the day we loaded back up in the car to head to another area of the park. The drive was extremely nerve racking my mother in law
The weather that day wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. It was gloomy and it would drizzle once in a while. I enjoyed the drive up to LA, even with a little rain. It took us about an hour and 50mins. We left around 1:00 pm and arrived around 2:50pm. The good thing about the drive was that we didn’t get lost. The only bad part was the traffic. We both expected to get traffic but not as bad.
The trip is over and it was amazing! I can’t believe how fun it was. I unpack my stuff from the inner surface of the van. I walk up my stone sidewalk and to my wooden front door. I wait for my parents to open it, and then I walk home and smell the familiar scent of my house.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Now, after a about four months of these past conditions, I had woken up, sicker than ever, skinnier than ever, next to Cowboy munching away on grass. “I need to be found”, I yelled intensely. God heard me, when I started hearing a helicopter and heavy men coming toward me. I had been blurring out time to time, and I blacked out when they saw me. I woke up, staring up at my family and the men who rescued me. I knew then that I was saved.
It took about 45 minutes to get the airport. Thoughts were rushing through my mind the whole time of what Florida would be like. I had gone twice before, but I was really young and I couldn't remember anything from those trips. My cousins met us at the airport and my grandparents
was in my room, praying, when suddenly I said, "What on earth is wrong, Lord? My brain waves have gone berserk."
So have you ever been to Disney World? Most of you probably have been there. I didn’t go to Disney World until November of last year with my family. I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it was incredible. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great experience because I was with my family.
Costa Rica is a very beautiful and unique place. It was my first time going there and I loved it! It was much different than the United States in ways I didn’t mind or even enjoyed. We saw many things and went many places while we were down there. I am ready to go back again already and do new, exciting things. However, we did a lot while we were down there.
Everyone who has ever been to Disney World thinks it’s going to be the vacation of a lifetime but when we went it was the vacation from Hell!
With music blasting, voices singing and talking, it was another typical ride to school with my sister. Because of our belated departure, I went fast, too fast. We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. As we broke the top of one of the small, blind hills in the middle of the right lane was a dead deer. Without any thought, purely by instinct I pulled the wheel of the car to the left and back over to the right. No big deal but I was going fast. The car swerved back to the left, to the right, to the left. Each time I could feel the car scratching the earth with its side. My body jolted with the sporadic movements of the car. The car swerved to the right for the last time. With my eyes sealed tight, I could feel my body float off the seat of the car.
My love affair with the West started early since I was born and raised there. However, foreign or not, everybody knows about the American West and what it entails. Whether you have a personal connection or just heard stories, the American West is known to most people around the world. My point being, everybody has had a taste of the West, where most people call home.
The first thing I would rather be doing right now is walking on the sand at the beach. I would want to hear the waves clashing against the rocks and the seagulls chirping above me. I would want to feel the sand in between my toes and the ocean breeze. I would want to see the dolphins poking their fins out of the water and the seashells tucked down in the sand. The second thing I would rather be doing is on a cruise going to the Bahamas.
I can still remember how excited I was before take off, I mean it felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Just all the anticipation that was inside of me had just made the wait even longer for me. Finally, I heard the pilot say 'prepare for take off'. When I heard those words I was so overjoyed I could hardly contain myself. That rush I got once the plane took off was an experience like no other. The plane ride was about hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Little did I know, that was less than half of the fun I was going to have at Orlando.
