My spiritual journey began when I started attending Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School in 2007. From the start, I questioned who God was, where he came from, and how he worked. Throughout the past four years of my life I learned to fully rely on God alone and to trust in him. Friends and church leaders mentored me to help me grow in faith, which I am unbelievably grateful for. Although my Catholic faith has had rough patches, every day it grows more and more as Christ reveals to me who he wants me to be. When I entered the second grade my sister, who was going into eighth grade, decided that she wanted to be confirmed into the Catholic Church along with the rest of her grade, but she had not been baptized just yet. Most of my friends, family, and I try to help keep each other going down the right path. Now, once I find out that someone is a practicing Catholic, I usually instantly want to be their friend because I love having conversations with my friends about God because I still contemplate a ton of questions and probably always will because he is too much for anyone to fully understand. My youth director, my Confirmation teacher, and almost all of my close friends help me grow in the Catholic Church. Thanks to them, I was able to open myself up to being able to actually feel God’s presence in my life and in the Eucharist, like I first did at a Catholic Conference called Steubenville during a Eucharistic Adoration, which confirmed all I believe and gives me …show more content…

A story that was told to me by my Confirmation teacher was about how a child hid his Eucharist somewhere in the Church after receiving it and the priest found it and put it away to be eaten later and when he came back to it it was bleeding. The priest called a scientist without telling him what it was or any information on it and the scientist said it was a part of the heart of a middle eastern man which was described to be just like Jesus’ heart would be like. This story, even though I heard it three years ago has stuck with me and now I don’t ever doubt that the same Jesus that walked on water and performed miracles is right in front of me, but I do still wonder how and if I could ask Jesus one question I’d probably ask how he is present in the
