Curare is known to paralyze the motor nerves. Traditionally, curare was used by South American Indians to poison their arrows by combining the curare obtained from plants and various poisons from animals and then mix everything up to make syrup like substance. Every time I open a Word Document and proceed to type my name, a red squiggly line appears under it, to inform me that I’ve spelled my name wrong. This happens every time and I find it so annoying, but trust me I’m highly skilled in spelling my name. I’ve never thought about if my name fits me until I began working on this essay. I’ve never had a problem with my name; I feel my first name Bria, suites me.
My father’s full name is John Doe. He was born on 3th of January 1961
Sarah narrated the story very well by selecting very exciting verbs to use in her autobiography. One example of this is when Sarah says “When I hold up two gloved hands, Robert holds up his own open palms”. Sarah could have used a less exciting way to say this, which in turn would result in a colorless autobiography. Sarah presents Robert in the very first paragraph. While Sarah’s description of Robert was lacking, it seems it wasn’t essential to the autobiography because Sarah did an exceptional job at making sure the reader can hear and visualize Robert. An example of this is when Robert is instructing Sarah the proper boxing technique, Sarah made it seem extremely immersive by using great detail. Sarah was lacking in terms of describing
As I previously stated, knowledge of my mother's side of the family is very limited, while my father's side dates way back. The farthest I am able to go with the Martin side is to my great great grandma, Dorothy. Of which I knew for most of my life, until my freshman year when she passed. Her husband was named Maynard Myers. He died of old age before I was able to meet him. I do know that he was in the army and had both of his legs amputated before coming back home. I was lucky to be able to not only meet my great great grandma, but to have her be such a huge part of my life. I dedicate a lot of what I do today in honor of her. My mother always told me stories about her from when she was younger and had her own singing radio show with my
This year 10th grade year I was supposed to focus on bettering myself in school. The three ways I was gonna better myself were, not being disrespectful to teachers, turning in homework on time and actually coming to school. I can say the only one I really improved on was being more respectful to teachers. In these next three paragraphs I’m gonna explain how I improved on 1 goal, didn't go anywhere on another, and actually got worse on the last goal.
