Through the first two chapters of this course I have learned many new things about myself. From why I am how I am with people to how much health risk my stress level is, the self-assessments have shown me something new in each one. Starting with the first self-assessment in chapter 1,the Jungian Personality test, I learned exactly how my personality works and how I fit into my particular type. I found the reason why I like helping others whenever I can but also have times I seclude myself from social activity is because while I was classified as (F)Feeling type, I am also (I)Introverted. The second assessment, “How Productive are You?”, showed me that while I am organized and this helps my production, I also need to pay attention to my surroundings and make sure I am not working in a cluttered area. After reading this bit of information I realized that my work area is cluttered and this does sometimes cause me to search for a document, making me frustrated at lost time. In the beginning of chapter 2 I took the third self-assessment about …show more content…

I believe it is important for any student who wants to do their best in a class to take a moment to evaluate their own work to determine the rate their writing is progressing and how they can continue to advance their writing. When I looked through my own work I asked myself “what have I learned this semester?” and “what do I still need to learn in order to improve my writing?”. Answering both these questions will help me with my last step of my self-evaluation, developing a plan to learn new skills.
The point of the test is to make the theories of personality developed Jung applicable to real life. The 16 distinctive personality types result from interactions from different scenarios. Firstly, the world aspect. This targets the introversion and extroversion characteristic. To identify this, the main question is, “Do you prefer to focus on the outer world or on your own inner world?” Next, the aspect of sensing or intuition. Next, thinking or feeling, this idea is surrounded upon the question, “When making decisions, do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or first look at the people and special circumstances?” This focuses on “Do you prefer to focus on the basic information you take in or do you prefer to interpret and add meaning?” Thirdly, In dealing with the outside world, do you prefer to get things decided or do you prefer to stay open to new information and options? ” After completing these processes the individual is given a four letter code which is their personality type. The first criterion, Extraversion or Introversion, signifies the source and direction of a person’s energy expression. The second criterion, Sensing or Intuition, represents the way someone perceives information. Sensing means that a person mainly believes information he or she receives directly from the external world. Intuition means that a person believes mainly information he or she receives from the internal
For this week’s assignment, I took a self-assessment in regards to who I am as a human being. I have taken many self-assessments throughout my life and assumed that this assessment would be similar to the assessments I have taken before. While some of the topics assessed today were similar or identical topics I have self-assessed previously, I had never taken a complete self-assessment until today.

In my personal improvement plan, they key targets of choice have been primarily based on the factors of time control, customer care and members of the family, choice making, communication in addition to improving other intuitive talents. Thus, I have been able to achieve a great deal of my goals and look forward to further
People’s self-esteem either high or low is shaped by their life experiences. I believe a person’s self-esteem begins to take shape at an early age, with their parents being a major influence. Kind, positive, knowledgeable and caring parents help children create a positive self-image. Parents who do not feel good about themselves or others, sometimes take it out on their childern by belittling them or discouraging them. This leads the child down a path of self-doubt and eventually given the right circumstances a lower self-esteem.
1. Personally, this course has helped me to better understand myself in a variety of ways. For instance, I have learned that there are three different types of behaviors: Type A (hostility, competitiveness), Type B (patience, cooperativeness), and Type D (distressed). Out of the three that are mentioned, I am Type A behavior; which according to Feldman (2015), “is a cluster of behaviors involving hostility, competitiveness, time urgency, and feeling driven.” Although most people usually are between Type A and Type B behavior, I believe that I lean more
Self assessment is a process in which you examine yourself in attempt to discover and learn more about yourself. Your likes, dislikes, behaviors, attitudes and habits can be found during this process. You can use the discoveries to your advantage by accepting or changing strengths and weaknesses. I plan on using this course to enhance my personal skills to become a better student and find success in earning my Bachelor of Arts degree at Ashford University in Social Science. Self Assessment is the first step in my successful future.
A personal development plan is an action plan that gets you from where you are right now to where you want to be in future. This can incorporate learning hard skills (like project management skills) as well as soft skills (like active listening) (Bartels, 2013).

A reflection of the self is an important tool to use to figure out whether or not your self-concept provides you with a positive self-esteem. First ask yourself, ‘who am I?’ and once you figure that out, determine if your perception of yourself is a positive one. If it’s not positive, you might want to consider making a change very quickly in order to live a fulfilling life. An even more important tool is to compare your own self-concept to the perception others have of you. I interviewed four people and asked them three questions. Those questions were as follows. “How do you perceive me physically? How do you perceive me socially? How do you perceive me psychologically?” Their overall physical perception of me is, I am beautiful,
There are few branches in my personal development plan. First of all I planned to learn, obtain and improve the skills and knowledge that I needed for my survival
Personality is the expression of a person’s traits according to ones feelings, mentality and behavior. It involves understanding individuals’ traits such as withdrawal and willpower and how various parts of an individual link together to form personality. Personality expresses itself from within an individual and is comparatively regular throughout in an individual’s life. Different people have different personalities dependent on factors such as environment and genetic composition. Our personality is dependent on the success or failure of our development in the eight stages of life. This is proposed by Erik Erikson. Success in the development stages lead to virtues while the failure leads to malignancies.
