1. My life before the war1 Hi, I am Jim; I a clostridium tetani bacterium but most people know our kind as tetanus. We clostridium tetani are anaerobic rod shaped bacterium, I am 4.0-8.0 µm pretty impressive huh? My parents and I live in a pile of animal feces but now I have a younger sibling so we are going to have to move to either an old rusty nail or some dust. We are just waiting here for another one of those silly human beings to come along so we can get in to their wounds and infect them; once we get inside their bodies the DNA in our cells replicate, then a double layer of cell membrane forms around the new DNA, membranes then encircle the DNA, a peptidoglycan layer forms between the 2 membranes, then a thick protein coat forms, our …show more content…

As my cousin and his friend were on a nail they did not have to worry about finding and opening in the humans body. As the human sat down onto the ground it stuck his handout to support its self. The as the humans hand landed on the rusty nail its skin was punctured, this then allowed a perfect entre wound for my cousins and his friends. 3. Destroying the human body If a tetanus cells enter the body they produce a neurotoxin (a protein that acts as a poison to the body's nervous system), this toxin causes muscle spasms. The toxin that we produce travels throughout the body via the bloodstream and the lymph system. As the toxin circulates and spreads more widely the toxin interferes with the normal activity of the nerves throughout the body, this leading to generalized muscle spasms. These spasms can make it hard to breath and hard to swallow sometimes they can be so forceful that they tear muscles or break bones. 4. Fighting the
