Every once a year my family and I decide where to go for a vacation over the summer. This past summer we decided to go on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. Our vacations are usually just by plane or by car, but this year my parents wanted to make it interesting and suggested that we go on a cruise. The next day we bought our tickets, parked our car in the lobby , and started up the escalating stairs to be approved. The moment I stepped into the ship I could feel the wave of adventure pushing me down with excitement. We then got into our room, and a sudden noise of the ship’s horn blasted with a loud “HOOONK!” ,which meant that the ship was about to depart. Hours later we arrived at our destination. We soon hurried to evacuate the ship and started to explore the scenic, alluring places. Then along the coastline we initiated our way to the beach to find seashells, but I didn’t want to leave.I just stayed there enjoying myself telling my parents”I will come!” Well, I didn’t go. …show more content…
Still thinking that my parents are still here I glimpse around to show them my seashell, but I find my parents gone! Hurriedly I tried to scan the crowd for any sign of my parents.I was panicking and scared;I didn’t want to lose them! Not knowing what to do I ran everywhere to find them. Stranded on the small island,I ran back and forth across the harbor
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
I was at my beach house that has a community bay that opens up into the ocean. We decided to rent a minuscule sail boat. My brother and I were both bored, which made us come up with this interesting idea. My brother, Drew, is adventurous and intelligent. But, I was skeptical and cautious. The mood was exciting and the tone was surprising. All of this led to us having an exciting sail around our bay.
This is the beginning of a journey that welcomes new life into the world. It all started on a Thursday, December 18th 2014. Elias was ready to see the world and Nakona was ready to give birth and see him. Nakona started laboring at 6:00 a.m. She busted into my room and woke me up asking me to take care of Lillian, their two old daughter, until she was picked up. Brandon, her husband, just finished a meeting when Nakona called to tell him she was in labor. Brandon came home and took care of Nakona until the midwife arrived. I couldn’t believe that this was really happening and that I would see Elias that day.
Long time ago there was a family, King Jake, Queen Angelina, and the twins Dawn and Luna. A couple of days after they were born a half human half tarantula came by while the king and queen were having dinner and swiped Luna, when the queen arrived she was just in time o try to save Luna, but sadly she died because the monster threw her over the terrace and landed on a rock in the hard cold fog. When the king came in he was to late and saw Luna or Angelina weren’t there. He feared that the princess and their mother died. So, he removed everything about the queen and princess and put it in a dungeon and locked it away and made sure no one ever speaks of Luna or Angelina ever again and made sure no one tells Dawn she had a twin sister. 16 years later, Dawn was outside playing with her friends and Spark her fire breathing puppy. “
It was the 26th of March, and we had excitedly, albeit wearily, arrived; concluding twelve excruciatingly long hours of travel. However, my father and I had one thing in mind, to land a powerful saltwater game fish. Despite the previous year in Hawaii where we had caught only miniscule lizard fish, we were determined to change our fishing fortune in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.
I'm getting taken from Africa separated from my family, just so we could be sold. I'm being forced to work for a white family. At only 12 I'm scared and alone, no one to help me or treat me right.
Do you remember the numerous times you took Tayllor and I on a walk down the street to go get ice cream for breakfast. I would wake up at the break of dawn and rush to get my coat so I could walk with you to the local market. My hands were moving so frantically in anticipation that it made it difficult to tie my laces on my sneakers. Once we went out the door, we ascended our way down the hill to the ice cream store. I was filled with pure delight and excitement to have you by my side and to go off on our little adventure.
At various points in history, I, the explorer have appeared on numerous occasions all as different personalities. I am highly motivated and as thrill seeking as a comet. I love to travel at maximum velocity seeking out dangerous and exhilarating events. I am expeditious, I am worthy, I am strong, I am legendary, sometimes I can be absolutely mad, but despite all of my personality traits; I am natively known as the explorer. I seek adventure in new or unfamiliar areas, whether it be the deepest and the darkest parts of space and time, or perhaps something beautiful. I am always prepared for a challenge and will go to phenomenal lengths making sure I use my time wisely, because may I remind you; that the clock is not our friend.
then pushed myself up the hill, to the nearest ski lift. My older brother, Tyler, had already gone ahead of me, so I was even more rushed. I entered the line and made sure that I had my ID card dangling over my neck. After the staff scanned my card, I sat on the ski lift and got ready for a 20 minute long trip up the mountain. I could see my brother almost ten ski lifts ahead, and I tried calling him. I could tell that the man I was sharing the ski lift with was getting a little annoyed with my loudness, so after a while I sat still and kept my mouth shut. I shivered. The snow was falling as hard as ever. I decided that after skiing down Olympic Trail, I would go back to the lodge and drink
Dr. D is a cardiothoracic surgeon. He was my hero. He may well still be, even though he is a throw-back to the days when I was more concerned about science than symbolism.
December 2016 – We wish you all a very joyous Holiday season!! THE WALTHER family has been blessed watching life unfold in so many exciting ways right before our eyes! The days fly quicker, boys grow and mature more at every turn, their classes are more challenging to understand, and we are excited for what the future holds for all of us. But in hindsight, it’s been another wonderful year!! We have so much to be thankful for – and so little to complain about – though we need to remind ourselves how fortunate a life we have – red or blue state matters not, we’re all lucky to be living under the Stars and Stripes.
Some scenes and moments in life cannot be ascribed to vocabulary – one must be present at that very moment and place to get the first-hand experience and exuberance. Finally when our eyes opened the next morning we were in Seattle and the thought of leaving my “home at sea” disheartened me. Having completed a truly remarkable odyssey, we got off the ship and said our final goodbyes to our family-at-sea. Before getting into our cab, I turned around one last time to take a final sight of the great ship and made a promise to myself – I’ll be back soon!
When I young we would travel all over the place, from L.A. to Florida. But there is one trip, that I remember better than all the rest. The trip was to the San Diego Zoo. We went to San Diego with some friends to see “Lego Land” and the zoo. We first went to “Lego Land” which ended up being quite uneventful. So then we decide to go to the zoo as a family, and leave our friends behind. Little did I know, that day was not going to be anything like would have expected, and I would remember what happened for the rest of my life.
Bouncing on the water as I held close to my dad. Everyone gasped. I thought is it a shark, what is it, I don’t want to see? I felt like it was a recurrence of jaws. “Dolphins” someone screamed. I looked out onto the ocean the second they weren’t there. I was relevied The sky was stormy, the water cold. “I don’t think this was a good day to go Shell Island”, I told my dad in panic. “It’s fine” he stated as he tried to calm me down.
