A coat of arms is an identification for a person or a family. Unfortunately, I do not have a coat of arms. But the coat of arms I designed that represents my family the best have the colors: Gold, Blue, and Red. It also has an ordinary of a Quarter, it’s separation is wavy, I also have a mullet, and a cinquefoil which is a five-leaved flower. Gold, Blue, and Red are on my coat of arms. Gold represents understanding, respect, virtue, majesty, and generosity. My family is all about supporting and respecting each other, that’s why I chose this color. Blue means strength and loyalty, my sister is especially loyal to me. Red is the meaning of eagerness to serve one country, although we didn’t serve the country, but we always volunteer and help whoever needed help. …show more content…
A Quarter means a bearing of honor, and wavy separation means sea or water. I chose these because I love enjoying the view of the sea. My mark of Cadency is a mullet, which means the third son. I have a cinquefoil, a flower, which means hope and joy. I'm always joyful and hopeful for auditions, and things like that. Also, my family is always very happy, and we laugh all the time. It's like another language to us. In conclusion, my coat of arms represents my family, and I learned that a coat of arms is how you know which person is on your side during the war. I also learned that there are Tinctures, Ordinaries, Lines of Separation, Mark of Cadency, charge, and sometimes a Motto. A coat of arms is a very important item, especially during the medieval
Colors are everywhere. They make up everything we see. Lots of times they are associated with feelings, emotions, characteristics, etc. In his book, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald utilizes many colors as symbols to represent many feelings, passions, and descriptions. Each color has its own symbol, some have obvious ones like grey embodying lifelessness; however, some have more hidden meanings as black exemplifies the destruction of negativity (people usually think of black as more of a negative color in general). A color that represents Gatsby, and the Jazz Age as a whole very well, is the color silver, and it means glamorous and mysterious; distinguished, which is an excellent description of the 20s and Mr. Gatsby, himself. The color Green also represents Gatsby well because green in the novel means something of desire that has a possibility of being unattainable. Gold is a third color that personifies Gatsby, as it represents riches and extravagance in the novel, which is what Gatsby is known for. All these colors and symbols all connect to one of the themes of the book, which is the (idea) of The American Dream.
Golding uses the symbolism of colors. For example, pink, the color of innocence, portrays the
Colors, are something to be determine, not just colors, they mean many things depending on the way people analyze them. Colors are important in life, not only in life but also in books. One book that really describes that is The Great Gatsby. In The Great Gatsby, colors represent many different things. One of the major colors are yellow and gold. In the novel The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald describes these colors and associates them with different things. For example, gold represents real wealth and yellow represents fake gold. Fitzgerald associates colors with different things by really describing them in depth. For example, the green light at Daisy’s is just a green light, but Fitzgerald made it so that it would represent much more than that and that is what made The Great Gatsby such a great novel. Throughout the novel, Fitzgerald associates yellow and gold in depth with different things. In life people sometimes make bad decisions and do bad things to gain money. Very similar to the novel, where Jay Gatsby gains money from bad ways, while he could have gained it from good ways.
Another view of the American flag is the colors red, white, and blue. Some Americans see the color red as blood for all the blood shed on the battlegrounds. Another color white for victory or triumph in our great nation of America. Lastly, the color blue for the sadness or sorrow felt because of the lives lost in war.
The coat of arms consists of the shield, the mantle, the helmet, the wreath, and the crest. Kings and queens first used them. The shield shapes vary according to time period. The colors on the shields meant different things. For example, yellow and gold

One of the most well-known colors used for symbolism in The Great Gatsby is the color gold. Gold represents
Throughout the novel, 'The Scarlet Letter,'; Nathaniel Hawthorne illustrates the themes with various dramatic colors. Of the array are the colors green and gold, where green symbolizes different aspects of nature such as tranquility, security, and gloominess, whereas gold represents all that pertains to luxuriance, serenity and goodness. In certain chapters, it seems as if one color is codependent with the other.
In the French film, Blue, the color blue is used to represent freedom and liberty. Many times throughout the movie there are somewhat obvious examples, but other examples where you have to look into deep into the symbolism to see how they connect with the theme. The director allows us to somewhat use our imagination to figure out what he is trying to portray. By using the color blue, we can interpret how freedom and liberty play a big role in the movie.
Colors, such as green and white are used to find ones true feelings; while others use colors to hide their true self. Color symbolism is used to convey a deeper message to the readers and help us understand the characters true the various colors that appeared regularly in the story. One color we see right from the beginning of the story is white. We see Daisy and Jordan Baker wearing their white dresses. The color white symbolizes beauty, cleanliness, wealth, innocence, and also laziness. These are also characteristics that both Jordan and Daisy personify. Jordan Baker personifies neutrality because she is never in the drama. She was friends’ with Gatsby, Nick, Tom and Daisy and she had no issues with any of them. They both personify wealth because they are both rich. Both come from old money. Daisy symbolizes laziness because she doesn’t really do anything for herself. She is wealthy so she doesn’t have to work so all she does is wonder what she’ll do for the rest of her life. Another symbolic color in The Great Gatsby is green. The green light at the end of Daisy’s’ dock represents Gatsby’s’ hopes and dreams. Gatsby associates it with one day being able to get Daisy back. In chapter one he reaches towards it in the darkness as if to follow it to his goal. The color green us traditionally related with hope and youth. Another emblematic color is red. The inside of
Every family has a unique coat of arms. The coat of arms consists of a family crest and motto. Fortunato asks Montressor what his family arms are. He says, “A huge human foot d'or, in a field azure; the foot crushes a serpent rampant whose fangs are imbedded in the heel”(Poe 110). After he explains his family crest Fortunato asks him what his family motto is. He answers with, “Nemo me impune lacessit” (Poe 110). “[This] motto is also the motto of Scotland and the Order of the Thistle”(Cervo 155).
The colors of the Flag may be thus explained: The red is for valor, zeal and fervency; the white for hope purity, cleanliness of life, and rectitude of conduct; the blue, the color of heaven, for reverence to God, loyalty, sincerity, justice and truth.
On our American flag, the white signifies purity and innocence. The red color means hardiness and bravery. Blue expresses courage, vigilance (alertness), perseverance (never giving up), and justice.
The two arms on the left illustrate two arms in an embracing motion, displaying the most important person in my life, my mother. The building on the background is Mount Olympus and is used to symbolize the perfection which drives me forward
